I had blepharoplasty surgery with Dr Boxrud and she did an amazing job! I’ve referred several friends to her and they loved her too. Everyone at the office was so helpful along the way as well.

I'm sure that Dr. Cynthia A. Boxrud is good at her job, but I do not believe this office truly cares about their patients. I found Dr. Boxrud and her staff to be extremely rude and unhelpful.

We had our consultation with Dr. Boxrud and she saw the lump on my mother's left eyelid. It is eye cancer that needs to be surgically removed. Dr. Boxrud reassured my mother that she indeed can do the surgery, but wanted Mary to ensure that our insurance is in-network. Mary specifically was in charge of getting back to us regarding our insurance eligibility with the office. She told us she'd have an answer in a couple of days. Mary took 3 weeks to get back to us and just to let us know that we are not in-network and the surgery would not be covered by our insurance.

My mother was calling her insurance every other day and trying to push for a quick response. My mother also called Dr. Boxrud office a few times and spoke to Mary who told us that Dr. Boxrud was very busy with other surgeries and they needed some paperwork to get done so they could submit to our insurance. I would think that Dr. Boxrud would have cared to assist my mother more urgently.

I called the office and let Mary know that this type of service is not unacceptable. I also told her that I'd be writing this review. Mary did not care.

It would be different if we were asking about cosmetic or plastic surgery. Dr. Boxrud and her office delayed my mother's process of removing her eye cancer sooner.
