I took my latr husbands truck in for 2nd opinion. I just needed it smogged to get registered and give truck to my daughter. Front office staff was awesome. That young woman has been schooled on functions of parts. She was extremely thorough and knowledgeable. She also had suggestions on how to proceed.

Juan and his team are an absolute pleasure to work with! I worked with them in marketing D&L Motorsports for a video shoot, and it was evident very quickly how much care and connection they put into servicing vehicles and understanding the person behind just the customer! There's a personability factor, but also a knowledge about the industry that puts them among the best auto repair shops in Redding, California! If you're looking for a European-specific repair shop or even any car (they specialize, but can do any car), I would absolutely recommend them!

(original review early 2022) Juan and his team went above expectations to confirm a dashboard error which was incorrectly diagnosed by different shops. They took their time and tested different solutions and kept it all formally communicated with me. Although the problem would cost much more than I expect to fix, I'll for sure perform the repair and respective engine tune-ups with them moving forward. They have been honest and knowledgeable about my VW.

Besides that, they are open later than most shops and it facilitates pickups afterhours:)

Update (mid-2022) after 6 months of bringing the car there: continued visiting them for services on the other vehicle in our household despite not being European. Still, the quality of workmanship and customer service continues great

Update 2 (early 2023) : 1 year and counting as a loyal customer. Their continuous honesty and now even more scholarly technicians (understanding of electronics) will ensure D&L retain my choice for vehicle services.

Update 3 (late 2023) : they are still competent and honest with their services.

D & L Auto Sports does an outstanding job and is very trustworthy! Juan & his team are very thorough. You can rest assured that They will give you a thorough examination, so you have no surprises in the future. On top of that, they are fast and courteous. My wife and I were on our way from Salem Oregon to Sacramento, we stopped in Redding to fill up with gas. The fuel pump in the Porsche Cayenne decided it was time to quit. Another Cayenne owner and o e of there customers stopped an recommend D and L Motorsports. He said they're the only shop in town as far as I'm concerned. We had it towed there. Having been a professional mechanic for40 years I have been in a lot of shops. These guys are the real deal. The place is clean, and organized and well run. The ladies at the front counter are competent and professional. The guys turning the wrenches were spot on. They had us back on the road ASAP. I highly recommend them.

D&l has done work for me now quite a few times. They've always been very good at diagnosing the problem and fixing it fast. Prices were very competitive. I feel much more confident about my cars knowing I have a mechanic I can trust to not gouge me when I need them. I highly recommend D&l

I just wanted to throw you guys a positive review for taking care of us today. My wife had a little bit of a scare this morning when she heard a nasty grinding noise from the front brakes on her Audi, it went away so it was probably something stupid like a rock in the dust shield or something. Either way I wanted to make sure it was all safe for her. You guys got her in and out this morning and identified a leaky rear brake line and a tire puncture. My wife was super impressed and we're both super grateful! Thanks!

All the people & the mechanics are amazing very polite pleasant knowledgeable they get your parts ordered fast and they get you in there quickly to get them put in they're a little high on their labor prices compared to others but so far there repairs are holding up. The owner a real sweetheart I just bought a van from somebody who had major like major work done and he extended the 3-year warranty for the sellers repairs to me which is unheard of I mean that's standing behind your work got a really commend them for that thank you very much Juan

We were traveling and had one of our rear shocks shear off of its mount. They got us right in, welded the mount back on, and even helped us figure out exactly what had happened. The customer service was all around top-notch, highly recommended!

They were very helpful and understanding of my situation and went above and beyond to help me. I highly recommend them! I will be returning for any future work.
