Dad's Hot Dogs reviews
13I used to go here quite a bit recently went and ordered a polish dog. I asked why it was so soft no crunch nothing was browner than my coffee looked like the dog was in there longer than a few hours. I told the lady and she was basically like oh well. Dog was mush no joke. Tried asking the guy who made it a question even though he was not even a foot away from straight up ignored me. But besides that they were good before and i did feel sick for a few days after. Ginger beard dude with tattoos was who made it and ignored it all.
Honestly, hadn't been there in years, but went because we were in the area. 1st there was no menu except on wall, so no description of what's on each item. 2nd I got the Jamaica dog with the "sauce" on side since I didn't know how it tasted. I didn't care for it, so basically I got a hot dog with mustard & tomatoes for like $8! I won't be back.
Delicious! Fun options. If you want veggie, just ask they have it, and cook to order.
Friendly service!
I had a chili dog. Very thick chili. Not a fan, but friendly nostalgic atmosphere, seems like they have some regular customers.
Mmm mmm good. Sure I could buy and make myself but just not the same as great hot dog service. Thank you
Unfortunately I am not able to rate the food, nor the atmosphere in all sincerity. This past week my husband and I had a craving for a Corn Dog, we found Dads on Google and stopped in shortly before closing we walked in stood at the counter reading the wall menu in anticipation of placing an order to go. One employee was at the front counter not more than 10 feet from us, she appeared to be filling an order for pick up, the other employee was near the back counter socializing. For more than 5 minutes we stood there reviewing the menu on the wall waiting to be served to no avail. After a few more minute of not even an acknowledgment from either employee we walked out. Not quite sure why we didn’t receive any service not even an acknowledgment but I will say my husband and I were the only African Americans in Dads that evening and it was our 1st time there. Be assured we won’t be going back ever.
The food was good, and the amount of cheese was actually a bit excessive. If you get 2 dogs, you may be better off only getting cheese on one and splitting it to the 2nd one. Bring your own beverage as the sodas start at $2.95 for what should be called a kid size.
The guy behind the counter was very friendly and the giant polish dog was great. Place is kinda pricey but still a great treat
Closet thing to a Caspers hot dog I know and that is special. Servive is always good and enough seating if you include outside
Visited for the first time today. Listen, the food is great and we’ll worth the visit, but the service is nothing short of magical. All of the employees vibe really well together. They keep it cute with the customers. It’s just an overall chill place to spend some time. This place did not meet my expectations, but far exceeded them. Also, the Hot Apple Pie with Ice Cream is a treasure.
Enjoyable experience. No free refills but they were nice and offered us some anyways. Chili dog was bigger than expected, and I left full, so the higher price doesn't sacrifice my hunger (for reference I'm a pretty big boy). Comfortable environment, the servers weren't too pushy but didn't forget about us. Will most likely be coming back.
Service too slow. You would think you would get reasonably fast service for a hot dog restaurant. Walked in, saw that there was only one couple in there eating and another couple waiting to be served. 5 minutes later. Same couple still waiting to be served. I wasn't even looked at, said hello to, or even a be right with you, nothing. Not sure if those guys even know how to smile. I was craving a hot dog all week too. Oh well, Trader Joe's is right next door.
I went there for dinner with my family the other night. The two dudes serving us were seriously high out of their minds and kept forgetting what we ordered. The corn dog was microwaved for way too long, it was soggy and disgusting. The chili is literally canned Dennisons mixed with water. The guys serving us didn’t even wash their hands. We felt sick after eating there. Don’t let Cheech and Chong serve your food if you care about your health and well-being.
