Damco Distribution Services, South Gate CA

This place is a wrongful death waiting to happen in the container yard for a litany of reasons. I have been driving truck for 23 years, and this place is an ussafe place. Trucking companies that continue to send their drivers to this unsafe yard will deserve to be sued for hundreds of millions of dollars if God forbid somebody gets seriously hurt or killed.

Waited over 2 hours just to get in and there was only one truck in front of me. There are 7 trucks behind me. How they get any business at all baffles me. They define the word SUCK!

Tight little spot. When i get here it is usually a fast in and out but with it being near Christmas it is starting to get busy and the wait is now a long one. Once you are in it will be another wait cuz the yard hostlers are all busy moving containers to their designated dock space. Still a good spot to drop and hook your loads.

Always easy in and out for me. Nice kids working the gate Great yard dogs helping you with trailers. Even the long lines tend to move along, as they come back and check things on the next truck before it gets up there.

Sometimes it can take awhile to check in, with the large volume of trucks going in and out. Maneuvering within the yard can be a bit tricky, because of all the trailers being parked in any available spot

This place is really crowded. If you are coming in with a sleeper cab you may need to flag down a yard truck to get your trailer out for you. The trailers are parked about 6 inches from each other so if you can get to your trailer you can't react the crank to draw up your landing gear. It is much easier to just have one of their yard guys pull the trailer out for you.

This company cannot manage a lot of containers. They cannot help drivers in and out. Their office staff is lazy, rude, unprofessional, and incompetent. You are hooked up and ready and they don't even have the paperwork ready for you. Anticipate a 1 to 3 hour delay here. They suck!

The worst management ever. The supervisors for this company really need to be Re-Evaluated because a lot of people have left this company and lost their income due to the mental abuse and un-organized schedules they have for their employees. I wouldn't accept a job opportunity from them even if I were to get paid above the minimum wage due to their un-professionalism. I wish I was a undercover to really put all these so call supervisors/managers on blast. Good Day!

Delivered here two containers yeah it's crowded but the workers are cool no attitudes.not too long of a wait. They cool

Bs work place. Manager sucks and shows no type of humanity too workers and there life. No help. Manager piles work on workers like slavery.

I've been working here more than 3 years and steady work, Damco has kept money in my pocket, I just work hard for it
