Dametra Cafe reviews
26Appetizers were amazing and the live music was entertaining. The meats in our entrees were over cooked.
I really didn't have an intention to give this place five stars. But the ambience/experience inside along with the food is fantastic. The staff really ensures customers have a great time at this place.
Please note that this place can get really busy during weekends. We knew this and so we went there to put our name for a table for 2 at 7 pm. The host said the wait time was about two hours! So we waited. And then we went there at around 8: 45 as we thought our number was coming up soon. Nope. The host said it is gonna take more time. After some more waiting, as we were just 2 people, host was able to find us a table. By this time, we were really annoyed by the wait times.
But the rest of the experience was absolutely delightful after we were seated. The seating is limited both inside and outside. Parking is limited as well. We ordered the Dametra veggie delight, Hummus with pita and Baklava. The food was very good.
Awesome place for ambience! The singing and dancing is just too much fun! Food was average but the atmosphere compensates for it!
The owner and the crew is very friendly and affectionate.
Shocked when I found out it is on the Michelin guide. Tough baklava, inauthentic Tiramisu, congested tables, underbaked pita, minimal vegetarian entree options.
Only positive was the live middle eastern songs. Fun atmosphere and people joined the singing amd dancing.
Great food and great service, went there with twin infants and a toddler and was greeted with open arms. The hostess who is the niece of the owner was warm and amazing. They also have a fast casual concept at the Delmonte center that is also great. The food is great!
Food was excellent, hostess Sophia was excellent, music was fun, atmosphere was very pleasing, server was basically non existent but the rest of the staff was pretty nice. Would have given 5 stars if server had been attentive.
We had dinner here & loved it! Their service is outstanding! Very kid friendly! The gyro platter was very good! My favorite was the chicken skewers. We went to dinner early, about 5: 30 & didn't have a problem getting a table but there was a wait when we left. They gave us a complimentary dessert (baklava) which was very tasty! We wouldn't hesitate to eat here again.
The hostess lied about calling our phone number, made us waited almost 2 hours, no table, then recommended us to go to a sister restaurant.
"Ooo. Loved it. Got the appetiser sampler which was great to split for two. And shared an entree. Great value. Dude serenaded us. Great service. The dude was all over us. " -the girl
Excellent food and great experience over all. When we walked in everyone was dancing and singing. Waiters included!
Good food and service! I asked for my beef to be cooked well done but it came out with a bit of pink in it so I couldn’t eat it. I guess I have to say very very well done next time. The cook will come out of the kitchen and together with the owner will serenade everyone! We loved it!
Great atmosphere, food is great and the staff goes out of their way to make the dining experience great! Highly recommended
The food was ok, but the hostess was very rude and snobby. The minute we walked in to be seated, she greeted us with a cold attitude and we did not feel welcomed. She pointed to our table and acted as if she had a big problem.
Great energy and super friendly service. Food was good and the menu offered quite a variety. The cook came out and sang an italian song and the place was rocking for a sunday afternoon.
Great food, awesome ambience, cool service with a nice surprise musical performance by the staff.
We arrived late on a Wednesday night, it was packed. Waited 30 minutes for a table, it was worth the wait! Amazing food. Wonderful service. They had broke out in song during our meal, it was so fun! Loved Loved Loved it! Will be going again on our next trip!
If they say you need to wait for 45 minutes to be seated do not be deterred because they will call you in 10 minutes.
I had almost 40 different Calamari this isThe best calamari.
The food is also great. But the best part is the service and the vibe of the resturant.
We were a walk in, so we had to wait at the bar for seats. We ordered a bottle of there tempranillo, which was amazing. Mid way through our wait two head staff members broke out in song and dance, one with amazing skill on the "oud", another with a brilliant voice. Our main courses were delicious, one prawn pasta the other was the veggie delight. Definitely a recommended experience for anyone in the Monterey/Carmel area.
The customer service was excellent. However, the food was just okay. The tzaki was very yummy, though, along with the complimentary bread and olive oil/vinegar mixture.
