I really enjoyed working with Dan on both the purchase and sale of my Noe Valley condo. I was particularly impressed with the effort he and his team put into the sale as the market slowed and the number of potential buyers dwindled due to rising interest rates. They organized 3-4 open houses each week to generate interest and bring new buyers to the property. In addition to outworking other agents, Dan is a very kind person and did not pressure or spin me in any way. My interests and priorities were always put first. I recommend him and the Ascend team without any reservations. Thank you Dan!

Bad business ethics! I applied for a job, and Steven Huang responded saying he would love to meet me and thought my background was great. So I agreed to a date and time for a call interview with him. I was excited because I thought this might be a good brokerage to work for, I have been successful in real estate over 10 years. So on the day of the interview I waited over 1/2 hour waiting for his call, when I just happened to look at my email and he sent me a message after our scheduled time and said his prior appointment was running late and he would reschedule for another time. Well I have since sent multiple emails back to Steven to reschedule, no response and he never reached back to me to reschedule either like he said he would. So basically if you’re not on his priority list, he can care less. BAD BUSINESS ethics of doing business. It’s not about the job, I can work anywhere, it’s about the principle, and I’m old school. So I definitely would not recommend doing business with these people in any form of real estate.

Is it a good time to buy or sell? That sure sounds like a gamble by take chances. But working with Dan is an assurance. His knowledge and process has made the selling process extremely smooth. We saved about a month of time compared to nearby properties. If you look for top notch operational ability, please keep Dan in your options!

Dan was extremely helpful and patient throughout the home buying process. I was not in any particular rush to purchase a home, and at no point did he pressure me or rush me into anything. He only gave me lots of sage advice and all the information that I needed to make an informed decision. He was always very responsive via phone/email and would meet me at any location. If he was not available, he would send one of the other agents, who were all very helpful and professional as well. I would definitely recommend him to everyone I know!

We recently bought our home with Dan Risman-Jones of Ascend Real Estate as our agent. We had been in the home market prior to our daughter being born and went through several rounds of looking at homes with Dan, Steven (and several other members of the Ascend team) over approximately a 3.5 year period. Despite taking a very long time (years!) to finally find a home they were always patient with us and took time to answer our questions, and Dan got us through a strange situation involving a piano during closing very smoothly. I highly recommend them, whether you are buying or selling - their marketing skills are also top notch when it comes to presenting homes for sale.

Steven and his team at Ascend Real Estate are fantastic! Steven helped my husband and I buy our first condo back in 2017 when we connected with him at an open house that we randomly wandered in to. We started talking and knew he was the one who was going to help us find our first home. He took us to numerous condos and we decided to buy a fixer upper. Steven was patient as this home buying process was particularly challenging given the poor communication of the seller's agent. Regardless, Steven was persistent and the sale went through.

Fast forward to 2020 and we wanted to sell the condo and upsize to a single family home. Given the pandemic and that we were not incredibly motivated to sell, Steven advised that we list off market. We had many viewings over the course of 2020, but nothing came of them. In January 2021, we started actively looking for a new home with the help of one of Steven's agents, Julia, and by March we were in escrow and closing! So now we HAD to sell the condo. Steven helped us get the condo staged and on the market within 1 week of us moving out. We had multiple showings over that first weekend and within 4 days we were in escrow with an offer that exceeded our expectations. The purchase of the new home and sale of the condo could not have been any easier.

Steven and Julia were exceptional every step of the way. They were regularly communicating with us and giving updates. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with each decision that was made. We don't plan on moving any time soon, but when we do, we will be calling Steven to help us out!
