Website and voicemail are still active, but this business appears to have shut down, or at least is not responding to attempts at communication. We had nothing but good experiences with them in the past.

Truly disappointed with the service Nikki provided. (Spare me the "we are sorry you feel that way BS reply". She took MONTHS to finish our returns. We are in July and have paid our part of our taxes yet she has not filed them. A lot phones calls and emails to Nikki with no answers. Definitely our last time working with her.

I love working with Dannan & Associates! Nikki is amazing! She makes everything less of a chore. The process is very organized and streamlined. I also have friends & family that use Nikki and they are very happy as well. I definitely recommend.

I’ve been a client of this tax service since 2017, this will be my last year working with Nikki and Michelle. The service over the years has deteriorated drastically. I’ve been emailing Nikki since mid October to see what’s going on with my expat taxes and any updates on my amended tax return for 2020. At this point I don’t even know if Nikki reported my expat taxes on time for the October deadline. I’ve reached out on numerous occasions to both Michelle and Nikki via phone as well as email. The emails go ignored and the calls don’t get answered. I’ve recommended others to their service only for them to be unresponsive to them as well. The amount of unprofessionalism and inefficiency from them is quite appalling at this point. Why do I need to constantly send emails or calls to try to get a response from them about my taxes that they are working on only to be ignored. It’s unacceptable. At this point I would not recommend their services to anyone else unfortunately. It’s now November 3rd and I have no clue what’s going on.

Firstly, I don't think it's ok to address my issues with "We are sorry you feel" it's not a feeling this is what has happened, I received poor service. There was never any explanation as to what was going on with the process of filing my taxes. Myself and my friend were just flat out ignored. She nor myself never received any emails explaining what was going on and why the process was taking so long. We weren't sure if we missed the deadline for expats to file or anything because you all never responded to any of our emails. So, this comes down to a total lack of communication and you all being unresponsive to emails and calls. You all literally never answer the office phone. When you filed my friends taxes last year it was the same experience. No communication for months and being ignored. In fact you all acknowledged this and also gave her the service for free last year. So, fast forward to this year we didn't think the process would be so difficult for you all since you had done this for us last year. Again, we were wrong. We filed again with you all this year only to experience being ignored and there was no explanation. So, this is why you gave us the service for free, not because we were feeling a certain way. I'm still waiting for Nikki to get back to me about my 2020 amended tax return that she filed in March I believe. The IRS website is not working properly and calling them doesn't work either to check on the status. Nikki has told me that she will check and she doesn't get back to me. I'm still waiting on this and I sent another follow-up email over to her the other day, no reply. According to the IRS website it normally takes 16 weeks for an amended return that has extended to 20 weeks due to covid. So, all of this is taken into consideration, however it is going into December and I should have gotten the return already or at least an update on the amended return that Nikki filed. I've received nothing and this lack of communication just continues on with you all.

Isn't the main reason people seek help from a tax preparer during the tax filing season to save themselves time and stress?

It seems to successfully file any tax-related documents via Dannan and Associates, patience in receiving significantly delayed responses to emails and status inquiries is required.

Despite the communication difficulties and delays experienced in the previous tax-filing year, I procured the assistance of Dannan, CPA & Associates, in good faith that the difficulties encountered in the first year would be prevented.

While simple transparency regarding delays or inability to take on new tax-filing cases due to client volume would have been a welcomed courtesy, this has not been the case.

Michelle and staff are the best! Very knowledgeable and always looking to get you the best return possible. I've been a client for over 15 years and don't even want to think about having to use anybody else. Highly recommend!
