Danny's Test & Repair, Long Beach CA

This place is a rip off. They were trying to charge for a transmission and the dealership had their doubts and towed it to the dealership to have it checked out. Turns out that it wasn't the transmission. The problem was fixed by the dealership.

Honest and prompt work very happy and I also left an envelope with some money in it on the desk in the office and called back after I noticed it was gone and they found it for me thank you very much any work I need done I will be going back there

Bad service, for check engine light took almost 3 weeks and didn’t fixed the problem! They make me replace battery and alternator. Scratch on my car, oily floor mats, my backup camera not working and my globes compartment broken!

Over the phone said it would take 2 days to leave my Van and they could handle all my needs as I carefully described. I got there at *am, they were late in opening. The man, then said they would have to keep the Van for repairs for over 5 weeks. At that point I hadn't even shown him the notice of what was needed, so how did he known how long he needed to keep the Van. Very rude treatment, as well. Very Poor Service, indeed.

I love Danny, he's a good person VERY honest. Great prices, so Danny i need my air conditioner fixed because its not working and it's hot haha so when you see me let me know how much that will be! From Mona

The mechanics do very good honest work and they are reasonable and working with the owner Danny and one of his managers Raphael has always been a pleasure and appreciate the customer service that I get from them

My husband used to take all our cars here. They were great, until the weren’t.
On one occasion he took my truck to get an oil change and a bulb replaced. I noticed right off the bat that my original bulb was orange and they put in a clear bulb. So now I’m driving around in my new truck with mismatched lights and they charged something like 200$ for the oil change and mismatched light bulb replacement. I ended up taking my truck to autozone myself to get a lightbulb match. When the guy looked at it he said the bulb that was in there wasn’t even the correct bulb for my truck Awesome!
I started noticing that no matter what we were getting done it was always 200$ and up. Ok I get it car repair isn’t cheap.
This is the one that really got me and ultimately ended our relationship with Tony’s. My husbands car wouldn’t start. We’re both busy and at work so he gets it towed to the shop (we used AAA) we were sure it was the starter. No, it was just the battery. My husband says whatever, switch it out. When I went to pick it up at end of day I must have been standing there for a good 15 min before I was acknowledged (again I get it, mechanics are busy and not in the customer service business) the guy doesn’t go over the repairs just tells me it’s 360$. Wait! $360 for a battery? ! A one year, no brand battery, for 360$! Ridiculous! I start questioning the bill and the guy in charge (which was not Tony) starts getting loud with me and try’s to undermine me and keeps telling me that my husband and him talked about it and it was fine. I told him it’s not fine and I wanted a breakdown of the charges. He left for 20 min came back with some bogus handwritten stuff said my husband authorized the work (a new battery). At that point I let him have it as my patience was run thin and didn’t appreciate the level of disrespect I was receiving.
I do not recommend this shop. The quality and service is below par for the prices they are charging. At one time this was an honest shop and I felt comfortable taking our cars there, never again.
**Bonus** Fast forward 2 months later and we ended up needing a new starter.

My car had been neglected for a while, Danny’s guys got it right. Let me know everything it need and the prices for them to do it let me k ow what I could do on my own to save some money since I was on a student budget.

Great shop. Danny gets the job done. Anything you need for your vehicle he the man to go with.

I've been going to Danny's team since I bought my car for smog checks. Always great, friendly service, reasonable prices. I live right down the street it's nice to have a great auto repair place so close to home. Fast, efficient. I will definitely continue to utilize his services
