Dan’s Kitchen reviews
19The food at Dan's Kitchen is very authentic and tastes better than many of the other Chinese fast food restaurants available in the San Fernando Valley. The prices are slightly higher than the average amount for Chinese Food, but they provide great quality food with large portions that are usually filled to the brim.
First time coming here and I love the food the Thai tea and the Shanghai Soup Dumplings are delicious. I'm very sensitive to light so they have like a dim atmosphere. It's hard to park here but the food is great for delivery or dine in.
The people are nice and the food is the best Chinese food I've tasted so far.not much parking cause of construction, but worth the small walk.
Highly recommend!
Just ok.nothing more or less 2.5 to 3 star not bad at all but also just ok spent way too much money on just ok
Don’t know who Dan is but he has never been anywhere near good Chinese food. This food was inedible. As you can see what was described a lightly breaded was heavy with batter and flour. Everything was dull beige and tasteless. The salt and pepper shrimp was supposed to be crispy and spicy. It was mushy with no flavor at all. The tangerine chicken was tough with so much much batter that I threw it in the garbage. The three flavors delight was horrible. As you can see, there is no telling what is beef, shrimp or chicken because it it all looks like a brown mess. Worst was with delivery and all the fees this mess cost me $92! Save your money. Chung King in a can is better.
Normally the food is excellent. Tonight I’m waiting in the lobby area. The woman hands food orders to people standing behind me in line. If that’s not rude enough, this wait took a solid 5/10 mins to then be passed up again by another person who arrived after me, picking up their food. I’m greeted with a blank stare, not a ‘welcome’ so I break the silence and stare I would like to order. 20 minute wait is how she responds…. Not what can I get you. I walked out. How did the service getting this terrible become ok in Los Angeles?
Food came out quick. Attentive workers. And food quality itself is very good. Everything is tasty. They have a variety of items in the menu so I'm sure there's something for everyone
I got sweet and sour chicken
Better than panda xp or any other Chinese fast food joints near by. Their dim sum options are very tasty, they definitely make it in house. Their prices are very reasonable for the quantity as well.
I like their unique handmade homemade flavor. Their dipping sauce for their dumplings are not really my cup of tea but over all. Delicious.
Subpar Chinese. Lacks sophisticated culinary methods such as finely honed knife skills. Chinese food made for a non-Chinese clientele so "authenticity" is lacking as well as taking advantage of customers who are not truly aware of the glories of East Asian cuisine.
This was my first time here A co-worker recommended it I love the shrimp and lobster sauce the best I've ever had the one thing I would correct is too many carrots way too many carrots other than that it was delicious
I ordered salt and pepper pork chops and they did not taste like salt or pepper all the flavor was consumed by the bell pepper, the shumai was good and the fried rice and chow mein were also delicious
Horrible service for pick up! Walked in women sees me ignores me for a good 15 mins until another person walks in and get his order and walks awayI had to flag her down in order for her to pay any attention to me
This place was recommended by a classmate. It's good Americanized Chinese food. Never had garlic chow mein before, it was tasty. They don't have combination plates so be careful how your order. I was slightly confused by the menu and the waitress seemed a bit annoyed. Oh well.
I ordered Kung pao chicken, fried rice and chow Mein. The fried rice and chow mein were pretty good. The Kung pao chicken was alright it could use a little more flavor. Since I had left overs the following day I stir fried the chicken again adding more soy sauce and some sriracha to enhance the flavor so it tasted way better than how they had initially made my order.
Google Menu prices are wrong.
Called in my order. They charged me a large without offering me size options. $7.00 more for an order that was just for me during my lunch break at work. Mongolian beef was terrible. Not even steak texture; probably frozen bag of something. Only white onion no green onions as I have always had it. Terrible. Did not eat it. Pork fried rice was fine. Not amazing as other reviews had led me to believe.
My top spot for quality Chinese food. Arrived at seven, it wasn't crowded. I will be back with my coworkers.
Chinese food at this place - super good. The staff was very kind and attentive. This place has a nice atmosphere.
I just liked their dishes. I always get excellent service there. The place is neat and the staff members are always super nice. Will come visit again.
