DAO Fu, San Diego CA

We've eaten out less during Covid, mostly because we haven't been socializing, but I am so glad I remembered Dao Fu tonight. Chicken rice pot w/dark rice and pork yakisoba. Great veggies! Love those crispy rice chips. Met with a smile. Excellent, tasty, perfectly prepared food, large portions and great prices! We'll be back soon, now that we've remembered what we're missing!

First impressions to there for dinner was nice on a date night. After a 2 year we went back there to have a take out and remembered some staffs there. Best place to go to get food.

Vietnamese food and the setting at this place is great.the service here is above par.prices are fair i would say.feels similar to a restaurant in philadelphia that i enjoyed visiting.

One of my fav places for delicious Vietnamese food. Very delicious. I've had nothing but enjoyable experiences here and plan to keep visiting. The bill was good for what you get.

One of my favorite places in San Diego to eat! So glad they are offering take out during covid. The tasty red chicken lives up to its name, the salad rolls are always amazing.

Best miso soup I've ever had in my life. Ordered the chicken rice pot and ate every last grain, it was delicious. Service was knowledgeable and friendly. Portion sizes were appropriate for the price. Husband and I both agreed that we're coming back.

Vietnamese food here - very good. Got there near seven, it wasn't very crowded. I will be bringing friends next time. The bill was good for how much you get.

I moved away recently, and this is the place I miss the most. I haven't had a bad thing on the menu.

I’m sitting in the restaurant right now, had the Pho and my friend had the Ramen and they were both amazing. We were surprised to find out it came with delicious complimentary salad with tofu AND DESERT the ice cream was not only aesthically pleasing when presented but it was amazing. The price wAs incredible affordable. This place is the move. Visit now.

Vietnamese food and the scene at this location is excellent. I love it here. The service was very helpful and observant. The place has an awesome atmosphere. Reminds me of a cafe in Chicago I liked to visit.

An excellent mom and pop Asian restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious and the environment is super chill. I went here the first time a couple weeks ago and I'm already back.

I highly recommend their rice bowls and and their miso soup. And the garlic chicken appetizer flavor profile is beyond addictive; to me at least:)

I've yet to try the Pho which I'm looking forward to.

If you have a chance to stop by, definitely do. You won't he disappointed.

So tasty and I could not believe how little everything cost compared to rest of San Diego. They treat you with a complimentary salad and home made super tasty ice cream is included with your meal! The katsu chicken was to die for. The $3.5 miso soup was loaded with veggies and tofu. Wow, if I lived here I would be here at least once/week.

Great service! Great food! And great prices! Definitely a must come back! And with complimentary ice cream for desert! Best! Only thing do be easy on the spices! Barely was able to finish my own food with getting spicy level 4 and I usually do enjoy spicy foods!

Pros -​ Very nice vietnamese​ cuisine​ resturant.

Food is delicious and fantastic. The food is combination between fruit​ and veggie. They served free dessert with green tree ice-cream with cantaloup and orange added sweet source.

The price is reasonable.

Cons -​ It located in the city so car parking is very hard to find.
