Daycare, Family Child Care - Wendy Mai

My daughter goes to Maimai daycare from 7 months.
The daycare used to have very detailed paper based communication on the kids' daily activities like dietary, napping, bowel movements, activities, etc; they switched to digital app based communication since pandemic started. They encourage parents providing updates of kids at home and communication in the Procare app as well. Sometimes Maimai takes good photos of kids at play and share with parents on chat.
They provide 3 healthy meals a day for the kids, kids are also trained to have good eating and drinking water habits.
During parents open days before pandemic, parent could tour the facility after hours or in weekend. I saw clean and advanced kitchen equipment, fresh food supply, high end water and air treatment devices (water purifier, air purifier, cool/hot air conditioner, humidifier), baby sleeping crib and mattress, high chairs, etc.
Teachers are with advanced education degree, good teaching in Chinese both Mandarin and Cantonese.

I sent my daughter to MaiMai daycare when she was 8 months old. MaiMai takes good care of her, there is no diaper rash on her. MaiMai always shares photo with us, I am so grateful that these lovely moments were caught. The daycare environment is bright and clean, my daughter didn’t get sick after attending the daycare. MaiMai prepares three meals for kids everyday, which saves me lots of time and the best part is the ingredients are organic.

My daughter has been attending Wendy Mai Daycare since she was only 7 months old. She is 27 months now and still happily goes to the daycare every day.
The environment of Wendy’s daycare is clean, neat and well-equipped. Air purifier, humidifier, baby monitors, hypoallergenic cribs and futons, solid baby bottles and utensil and all sorts of toys etc, you name it. Especially the air-condition, when the temperate keeps rising in the summer, kids can still have a cool environment to play, to eat and to take naps.
All three meals are all included, all organic ingredients, fresh prepared and nutrition well balanced. I didn’t have any handle on how to prepare baby food at first, but Wendy was kind enough to share her receipts and methods. And all the diapers and baby wipes are also included.
Under Wendy and Jacky’s guide, my daughter has already developed a good eating, napping habits. She has grown to be a well-mannered (says thank you, bye, hello), caring (sharing toys in daycare and public playground) and joyful girl. Nothing pleases a mother more than watching the kid happily going to daycare, having a good day and coming home cheerfully.
Wendy and Jacky are both good at taking photos of the kids and share them with the parents too. Wendy also takes care of the haircut upon request which is such a life-saver especially during the pandemic.
Last but not the least, Wendy and Jacky spend their own rest time on regular basis (while the kids are napping) to prepare tasty dishes for the parents to take home and enjoy as dinner. Totally free!

We made our decision to choose Maimai daycare for our 20-mons- old after the 1st visit. Maimai and Jacky impressed us a lot when they introduced how they set up the routines and take care of the little ones aging from 6 mons to 2.5 years old. “Christ is the Head of this House” Décor hanging on the wall of the room where the babies take naps assures us that our little one will have a good time in this blessed place.

We became more grateful when our son officially began his daycare life. Both Maimai and Jacky, the primary caregivers, carefully organize and arrange the daily lives of different aged babies. All the meals are prepared in house by themselves with selective organic foods. Diapers and cleaning wipes are high-quality products, better brands than what we use at home. Our son liked to eat eggs after a few days when he came here. Maimai and Jacky also help the children to form good living habits and practice behavior manners from a young age. Those who can walk will be happily waiting in line to wait for Jacky to put a belly band on before they take naps. Maimai also trains the elder ones the table etiquette when they are eating. My little one soon learned how to spoons and bowls also began to pray before meals. Now when we are ready for the dinners at home, he will remind us, “it’s time to pray. ” What a blessing!

Mamai Daycare will prepare a beautiful calendar for every family, with the lovely photos of the baby as the cover page. It records the daily routines of the baby and can be a commemorative book the family can keep for your beloved one, full of good memories! Maimai also considers the needs of the parents. When picking up the children after work, the parents will often get takeaway boxes at Maimai’s house. You can imagine how warm it feels when the exhausted young parents, after a long day at work, with a hot meal to eat right after getting back home! I believe every family will cherish that moment for a long time!

当我们为20个月大的小儿子选择托儿所的时候，第一次拜访麦麦和Jacky, 我们就决定要为我们的小宝贝选择这一家。孩子们午睡的房间墙壁上悬挂的“耶稣基督是我家之主”，给了我们笃定的信心和确据。我们可以放心的把我们最心爱的宝贝放在这个上帝看顾保守的地方。

等到我们的宝贝真正开始规律的托儿所生活的时候，我们更加感恩。麦麦和Jacky非常周到精细的安排各个年龄阶段的宝宝们的饮食起居，给孩子们的早中晚配餐都是精心挑选过的有机食物，亲自加工。小朋友们使用的清洁纸巾和尿片，都是很好质量的产品。我家宝贝也开始喜欢吃以前不爱吃的鸡蛋。麦麦和Jacky也注重从小开始培养孩子们的生活习惯和行为规范，会走路的小朋友们会高高兴兴排着队等着让Jacky 大哥哥围好肚兜准备午睡。麦麦也有意识的给年龄大一些的小朋友训练就餐规范和礼仪。宝贝很快学会了用小碗和小勺子自己吃饭，吃饭前也开始学习着餐前祷告。现在在家里面饭前也会提醒家人要祷告。真是感谢赞美主！

每月托儿所都会给每个家庭制作精美的月历，上面有漂亮的照片和孩子在托儿所的日常记录，这些都可以保留下来作为孩子成长过程中美好的纪念。麦麦还特别体谅上班族父母的需要，父母们下班接孩子时会经常收到麦麦家的爱心便当。工作劳累一天带着孩子回到家，马上就可以打开一份热腾腾的饭菜。那一刻内心充满的温暖和感动，我相信每一个家庭，都会珍藏许久。

Our daughter has been with Mai Mai Family Child Care for a year and the experience has exceeded our expectations. We have been really impressed with the passion, dedication, and joy that Mai Mai and Jacky have shown in taking care of our daughter. Over the past year, she has grown to become a well-mannered, caring, thoughtful, and cheerful child.

Mai Mai Family Child Care has provided a very clean, safe, and spacious environment for our daughter to play and interact with other children. The drop-off and pickup process is very secure in that each parent is given a unique PIN code and required to provide it when we drop-off/pickup our daughter. Additionally, as part of this process, each parent receives an email notification every time our daughter is signed in-out of the child care. Communicating with Mai Mai and Jacky is easy through phone, text, email, and WeChat.

What really makes this place special is that the loving care does not end when our daughter leaves at the end of the day. Mai Mai often shares her yummy food and any informative stories that she has come across with us. It is this connection and bond that makes it feel like we are leaving our daughter in the care of family when we drop her off everyday.

We feel very blessed to be part of the Mai Mai family!

I assume you are bored with all the positive reviews with Mai Mai family daycare. Let me get you all the cons.

1) Your kid may get spoiled with all the love, attention, and impeccable care from Mai Mai daycare that he/she may have a difficult time adjusting to a new place when he/she eventually graduates from Mai Mai's place.

2) You may get used to the frequent tasty food Mai Mai cooks for your family (free of charge) that when she skips a few days, you have no idea what you should eat that day.

3) You may get a false sense of how easy it is to raise a child because Mai Mai takes care of all the hard parts (including all 3 meals). This may ill prepare you for the difficult journey ahead and may lead you to consider having more kids than you are capable of handling.

As you can hopefully see, Mai Mai's daycare rocks!

This is the best family day care we have seen. Facilities and gears are very clean and updated. The staff are loving and caring. Hours are great for working parents. They provide hot organic meals and fresh fruits throughout the day. Here's a little bit more about our son's experience at Mai Mai's.

My son went to Mai Mai Family Day Care for 1 year and 8 months, from 10 months to 2.5 years old, and just moved onto preschool. From a crawling baby, he has grown into a healthy running toddler. Mai Mai Day Care is like a second home to him now. Whenever he sees Mai Mai and Jacky, he would run over and hug them, and even whine for treats, just like he would to us and grandparents! This is the best indication that he's been so happy and loved here.

At first, it was difficult for me to leave my 10 mo baby with some strangers, especially I was a first time mom. After talking to Mai Mai for some time, I knew they would take care of my son as if he's their own. I feel so blessed to have found this day care. Mai Mai treats us like family members, and gave us a lot of support and advice on parenting. I can't imagine these couple years without them!

To me, it is very important to have a safe, loving, and cheerful environment for babies as they begin to explore this world, learn to interact and build trust with people. Here I find the perfect place for my kids to grow and learn. Their facility is bright and spotless, and all the baby gears are kept very clean. They renovate their place and replace the gears every so often. There's an open outdoor area for the kids to run around, play balls and games, and get some vitamin D.

Furthermore, they provide 3 hot meals with organic ingredients, and fresh fruits. As I'm a working mom, this saves me a lot of hassle cooking just for baby. My son absolutely loves Mai Mai's cooking. Sometimes, she would give us some foodies to bring home, and my son is always so eager to eat it. Also, they taught him discipline and be a big brother among the younger kids, which we really value since we were expecting a second child.

They have very good regular hours for both working parents, from 8am to 6pm. Extended care in the morning or evening can be available on pre-arranged occasions. A couple of times, we had to drop off our son at 7am because of work schedule. One time, we went to a company dinner, they took care of him the whole evening and fed him! This is a huge bonus, which would not be available if we were to go to a day care center.

Above and beyond, there are a couple extra things they do that we appreciate. They take professional looking photos for us when we drop off or pick up, also throughout the day while he's having fun with his friends. The other thing is - they do really well communicating with us. Besides chatting with them at the end of the day, they have a log book for each child, where they indicate the activities he's done and things he's eaten, how many times he's pooped, and any comments or notes for us that day. We also write notes about him while at home. For example, he didn't sleep well the night before, they would know why he's looking sleepy, and let him take an extra nap. The log book changes monthly with a big family photo cover and on the back cover are the photos of him and his friends taken during the month before.

I highly recommend Mai Mai Day Care to anyone. In fact, I have been telling my friends about them, and applied for #2 before he was born. We look forward to baby brother joining the big family in a few months.

We continue to be impressed with how immaculate and clean Mai Mai’s Daycare is. The entire first floor of their home is configured to accommodate a daycare set up. It is Chinese family owned and run daycare. They speak Mandarin to the children. Mai Mai or Wendy, her son, Jacky, and her husband are a very nice family, and they seem to be very good with the kids. They serve 3 meals a day, all organic and healthy. Jacky and Mai Mai are always taking really nice pictures of the kids and then they post it for us to view. They give you a communication log book every month on what your kid did during the day, how many times they went poop, if you’re running low on diapers/wipes, and any unique comments. Most of the older kids nap once a day, and they all sleep on a mat. The younger kids sleep in individual pack ‘n plays. They get play time, they sing songs and read books to them, and they get to play outside in the backyard when it’s nice outside. The family is also very religious. They go to a Chinese church every weekend, and they invite the parents to special functions throughout the year. Mai Mai may sometimes have her opinions on certain things, but I actually appreciate it and welcome her thoughts. Every time I pick up my daughter from daycare, she seems happy to be there. We have been very pleased with our daughter being at this daycare. The family just seem like genuinely nice people. I would highly recommend this daycare for your baby/toddler if you want them exposed to the Mandarin language and if you don’t mind the family being religious and encourages families to attend special functions.

We love Mai Mai Daycare. Our daughter started there at 6 months and moved on to preschool at 2 years. She has learnt so much in her time there, picked up very good habits - she keeps all her toys before leaving anywhere, is polite in saying thank you and she has even taught us some mandarin words! When she left, she knew all the other kids names and loved going to daycare. Wendy and Jacky really love the kids and it is very evident in all that they do. Our daughter misses Mai mai and her friends and asks for them even though we are on holiday and she is surrounded by fun and grandparents.
