Days Inn by Wyndham Encinitas Moonlight Beach reviews
19They improved considerably, from previous times I stayed there! The employees were nicer as well!
If all you need is a place to take a shower and sleep at the lowest price this is it. Room showed wear and was very small. Bed was super hard, like sleeping on plywood. I booked for several nights and left after the first night.
I can't believe Wyndham has their name associated with this motel. We will never stay at this or any other Wyndham again! Smelly, did not feel safe, old & run down paint job is a poor attempt to cover up a pit! Woke up to multiple cockroaches. Large space between the wall & AC unit, pillows lumpy.just AWFUL! We left before the sun came up. You should be ashamed to charge $250 per nite! Zero stars
We were able to check in effortlessly, and the location is prime! An easy walk to any convenience store or grocery store as well as fast food across the street. The rooms were kinda small and the parking lot is not well lit at night, but other than that it’s a decent spot.
Horrible! Floor was wet! Room stunk! Shower head leaked so no water pressure! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Whole place is dirty!
Breakfast was very lame.even when compared with the last Day's Inn that we stayed in. Property used to have a Dennys Restaurant in front that is closed now. Not sure if that is a consequence of Covid or not. I'll assume so. Sorely missed.
Rats in the ceiling, dirty and stinky room, no toiletries included, brown bag breakfast was expired juice and pastry with granola bar, parking lot felt unsafe, AC smelled like mold and smoke and didn’t work properly… would never go back!
Terribly dirty, they offer breakfast and give you 2 granola bars and a juice. You will have to go to reception for your paper bag. If you want towels, paper, water, etc (which are supposed to be in the room) you must go for them. If you want cleaning you will also have to ask for it. You pay for terrible service. Zero recommended.
Good value. Close to the freeway and about 15 minutes from legoland. The only complaint I really have is I wouldn't really consider a brown bag that has a Danish and a tiny orange juice a breakfast.
The rooms are not clean and only 3 towels in the room. Bathtub faucet is broken, half of the water is running down the tube and barely have any water pressure to the shower. The trash was not empty at all. Plus they don't wash the sheets till the 3rd days as posted on the mirror in the bathroom. San Diego County or Encinitas health department should bring a black to see if there's any bug sitting around the rooms. DON'T STAY THIS MOTEL PERIOD.
It feels more like a small cottage with outdated furniture but it's worth it for a simple night as it's a 10 min run to the beach from the hotel.
No coffee in the lobby just weak coffee you make in the room. Staff was very kind. Room was falling apart. Light fixture falling off wall. Bedside lamp needed an extension cord because Outlet was broken. The bathroom was scary. The tile floor had a clean path where traveled otherwise was very soiled. Carpeting is so dirty you need to wear your shoes. Breakfast consists of a paper bag with a Danish orange juice and granola bar. Did I mention they had no coffee! The pool water was cloudy. The shower had hot water. No coffee in the lobby. Staff was nice. No excuse for not keeping the rooms clean.
Over $110 per night you get a very small motel room with a queen size bed. The Days Inn is not on the beach, there is about 10 to 15 minutes walk to the city’s Moonlight beach. But overall it is conveniently located, close freeway and a shopping center. Our three nights stay were very uneventful.
Lots of noisy neighbors and someone should have confronted them. The room had a musty smell and a couple spiders in service was great though
We stayed here for a soccer tournanent Surf Cup! Definitely will never stay here ever again! We arrived on 8/3/2023 around 7pm so it was a bit dark. Front desk guy was not helpful or considerate! After recieving our room keys, parked by the elevator. Upon our arrival there were lots of men drinking loudly by elevator in the parking lot! We were a bit scared & men even tried talking to me with my children with me. "that was irratating". On our way to room it smelt like "urine" & trash all thru the walkway on balcony it was disgusting! Wait for it the Best is coming uo. Got to our room and started unpacking, went to hang up clothes could'nt believe my hanger rack breaks & falls on my hand! Uggghh what next! All happen on our First day/night! I am not a picky person nor am I high maintenance but this was just ridiculous. Need I say no more! We just kept out of our room as long as we could until our departure 8/8/2023. Oh yah Please be careful they charge your credit card everytime you ask for towels/sheets/etc.
The room we were in was basically barely large enough to allow you to walk around the bed. I bent over to put my shoes on and was hitting my head on the table. The free breakfast was two granola bars, a pre packed cheese Danish, and a small orange juice.
Super small and basic rooms, which is fine but why was the dresser broken and more concerning why was the carpet throughout the room damp? We were not expecting anything fancy but it was pretty gross to take your shoes off and have the carpet be wet and know that it wasn't wet from you.
This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway in S. D. The downtown area on Main Street is a best kept secret and the stores across the street offers everything you need if you don’t feel like venturing out. There are some minor fixes that need to be done.o
It's pretty quiet considering it's pretty much on par with the highway. Getting the moisture from the shower out of the room is rather difficult, so it smells a bit musty when entering. The facility is older, but well-kept and ok. Especially given the cheapest room rate. Breakfast is a paper bag with a muesli bar, a pack of jam biscuits and a small tetra pack (like for children) of apple juice. Get one at reception. (On the right is a small refrigerator.)
The room itself is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and iron. The bathroom is nice and clean. Across the intersection (traffic light and zebra crossing) is a good and cheap Mexican.
The parking lot is big. The pool looked nice too.
