De Afghanan Kabob House reviews
12One of my favorite places in Tracy area to grab food. Love the fact that they always serve freshly made food. Their beef tikka is amazing! Bolani is also good and they serve in good quantity. The staff is very nice, and always accommodating even when you arrive close to their closing time.
I came in and made eye contact with several employees only to be ignored for 10 minutes as I stood near the menus. The unprofessionalism was so extreme I decided to just walk out and go to a nearby restaurant instead. Definitely would not recommend.
This is the branch of the original restaurant in Fremont. The food is the same taste and amazing! Love the leek Bolani if you have not tried it before. It's just like Aloo paratha but so much better and large size. The chicken kabobs are succulent and delicious! Definitely recommend this place and I will be back for sure the next time I am in the area.
I used to go to the fremont location when I lived in the East bay and I loved that locations food so when I moved to Tracy and saw they had a tracy spot I was juiced to try if. I've only been here 3 times in 5 years and every time I went it was for My birthday. I always go the combination kabob plate and was never disappointed in the food. It's pricey about 20$ x plate but worth every penny. Customer services was whatever maybe since im Mexican they didn't care much about My family and me but I don't care as long as they do their job right in the kitchen. Atmosphere was dead every time I went, not one person was dining in but I prefer that in Afghanistan or Indian restaurants since most of the time I get ugly looks and mugs from other customers like I said probably because I'm Mexican. They're lucky their food is good if not I'd never come back.
The food surpassed all expectations. After tasting the food, I was shocked that the restaurant wasn't more crowded. The portions are more than generous, I'm a big eater, and couldn't finish my plate.
Edit: years later, I honestly think it's JUST improving. I DO finish my plate now.
Don’t west money in this place doesn’t deserve here is why we were coming from Vegas with some friends that are visiting from Europe, my local friends Sayed let try this afghan restaurant. We ordered the food and we order appetizers before the food.
The first appetizer bolani come and then they server bring all our food then we have eaten all our food letter they brought out 2nd appetizers. And we asked the pack it in a Togo box they just left the Togo box and told to pack it. I did requested them again to pack it they said we are not required to pack with our hand why they don’t use gloves?
1/5 star experience for me. It was my first time trying De Afghanan and first time trying afghan food in general and was very excited. It was very nice inside and we also ordered to go, unfortunately we did not even read the price and just swiped the card. We told the gentleman we wanted just meat kabob no rice no side and what we got was6 pieces of meat for the price of a whole meal $18.99. While we ordered we were clear we wanted just the meat and assumed that’s what we would be charged for. When we called to question the price we were told that was it because it was a plate despite only stating we wanted just the meat. It feels like we were taken advantage of really not sure how you can feel ok for charging that much for 6 chicken nuggets pretty much I understand times are tough and prices have gone up but that price does not feel fair at all.
Amazing experience, Amad was a great server and the food was perfect. Best Afghan food I’ve ever had!
Been going here for 3 years never any complaints but noticed the portions getting smaller the last few months which I still didn’t mind.
But recently ordered the triple kabob platter which means 3 types of kabobs and they didn’t even include the chapli kabob in any of my trays. If you can’t get peoples order right after making them wait 30 minutes you need to retrain your staff.
Will be taking my business to other places that serve the same food with better customer service.
I totally recommend this place. They have amazing service. Really high quality good. 10/10 I loved it. I would come here again if I didn’t live so far!
Very nice comfortable place. The Sevice was good and the was very tasty. We will go back again.
