15Observatory level is worth going up. Collections are impressive and inspiring. Loved the cafe lunch.
Nice place with lots of cool stuff to look at, the map is a bit confusing but the staff are super helpful
A great Judy Chicago exhibition. Always a treat to go to this wonderful museum. Dont forget the tower for great views all around from a height.
There is no need to question the global status of this establishment in the art world. It's on par with all of the great world class art museums, the collection is magnificent. What makes it more special is the special exhibitions. Countless shows showcasing not only well known artists but also some lesser known. Those lesser known might just be the best part. In my opinion, any time you have the opportunity to learn something new it's a great day!
If you are a architecture fans you definitely have to go this place when you visiting SF. And this is a really huge place for a walk especially afternoon
Beautiful museum with awesome collections and excellent staff. Highly recommended for tourists as the views of the city are breathtaking.
I enjoyed the Judy Chicago exhibition even though I missed the live smoke show a few weeks ago.
I actually went for the museum store. I
It's a good one with interesting jewelry and watches at reasonable prices. Members get 10% off.
Pretty cool museum, every first Tuesday of the month admission is free, make sure to go up the tower to get a cool view
Dissapointed. Poorly curated. Too many, even though timed. The place seems run by donors who could care less.
Really impressed by the verbiage around the artwork. Clear and concise (and surprisingly more academic than I expected). The permanent exhibits were impressive and deserve another go.
It was wonderful to be able to go to the tower for free and the fantastic staff let us know we could visit the exhibits free of charge 45min prior to closing. If we had more time I would have visited this museum for full price.
Went to the Judy Chicago show. The short documentary should have been in the beginning of the show for people unfamiliar with her work.
Wonderful museum to see.
Don't forget to go up to the Tower for a birds-eye view of West side San Francisco.and have a nice lunch at the cafeteria which has indoor/outdoor sitting in a beautiful serene patio.and when you want to have dinner.near by Richmond district has many great restaurants.especially if your looking for Chinese. Enjoy
A beautiful building and a wonderful place to view art from the ages, located in Golden Gate Park.
