2Very interesting store that's worth a visit, but look around at other stores on Haight for what you're looking for before you buy anything.
Honestly it wasn't even the staff that was my issue with the store like so with many other reviews. I go to university for art conservation which includes fashion and the way that they are treating 50+ year old garments was baffling. When dealing with vintage fabric you should never just hang it on a rack and let everyone rummage through it. 1980s and up would be okay. But many older clothes simply had the fabric falling apart. There was some of the more older pieces (100+ years old) up high on display. But with the prices they are charging I would expect them to put clothing over 50 year old in protective clear sleeves. You cannot be in the collective business when you treat your inventory so poorly.
