Indian Restaurant Deedee's reviews
23 Incredible. Reasonable prices, wonderful flavor and texture, large portions etc etc. I'm very picky and I had zero complaints
Also, incredibly humble and very nice people that helped me. Can't say enough about this place I would definitely eat here frequently if I lived here and recommended to everybody
This place is ruined for me. I used to visit on regular basis but one very rude, nasty man who I suppose was/ is the owner ruined the experience for us. Barks when serving.mind we’ll people are paying customers so be respectful. I can’t think of this place without disgust anymore.
Awsome food. I am a fan of this place now. So far I have tried shrikhand, kachori, samosa, paneer makhani with roti and pulao. And I loved everything. Shrikhand and kachori is a must try.
Food was good. Tried chole tikki, alu paratha, thali and samose. The samose were a bit smaller than what I would expect. Mini samosa may be
Very authentic. The guy who I think is the owner is very nice and helped us find the cheaper meal option that made sense for us. I didn't know how popular it was so I ended up ordering to go instead of sitting to eat lunch there. It's so affordable given how much food I got.
Food is awesome and bears a close resemblance to home cooked food.
Highlishts:
1. All you can eat
2. Good desert option. Shrikhand
3. Mix of north Indian and Gujrati cuisine
4. Good for lunch
Cons:
Ambience is a little off
Felt like eating home made, authentic, delicious vegetarian North Indian food. Vegetarians delight. Highly recommended.
I have one thing to say about this place! It is worth the money you pay! You pay 12.99 for a weekend buffet and you have to many items. There was bhel puri, pani puri, cutlet, roti, parota, three kinds of sabji, pulav, white rice and a dessert. Seriously you can’t get such food for this rate. It’s not super excellent quality food but decent for the price. No comments on anything else!
The quality has gone down drastically IMO.
The shrikhand however, is still best in town.
Very good vegetarian food, including bajra rotis, shrikhand, Pani Puris and kathiawadi cuisine on some days. The place is small, and service is decent
The food is very tasty and fresh. I don't think they use any artificial ingredients. Worth every penny.
I come here everytime when i visit SFO
no doubt food is good but this time i was not happy as they cooked tindori which was like dead wall lizzards and pani ouri water was properly made it was just a green water with no taste and they mentioned this weekend is special gujarati dish but kadhi was neither gujarati nor pinjabi
rice half cooked
i have decided not to visit DeeDees on my next holidays.i visit sfo every year and i from UK.
I had been here couple of times. Perfect place for vegetarian food. I like srikhand and curries. They don't have perfect biryani option if you are looking for. They serve Freshly cooked roti or paratha.
It is certainly a good place. Buffet lunch & dinner is served. All the options are of a good taste. The rates are reasonable. There is generally a wait of about 15-20 minutes in the evenings particularly during week ends. But the wait is worth considering the taste & service.
The food is awesome. It will feel like eating at home, as the spices doesn't feel like heavy, which is usually the case with Indian restraurents.
They have weekend special for Gujrati, Rajasthani or Maharastrian food, we tried Rajasthani and love it.
Food was good but they charge $14 per person including tax which is slightly higher.
It should have been maximum $12 including tax.
First time here and liked it! Good vegetarian homely food. Visited on first weekend and they had Gujarati special buffet. Came to know 2nd weekend is Maharasthrian, 3rd weekend Rajasthani and 4th weekend Kathiawadi specials. Was busy Saturday lunch time.
Too hairy! The food was full of hair. We had 3 hair strands in 3 different dishes. When complained about it, the manager says it happens in buffet
