Japanese Restaurant Delage reviews
14Enjoyed every dish we had. Sushi and fish was all fresh and nicely plated. It was nice to sit at the bar and watch the sushi chef at work.
What a complete gem! I took my son here for his 17th birthday, and we both were baffled that it didn’t have Michelin stars yet! It has been recognized by Michelin Guide which is absolutely deserved. The female sushi chef was so artistic and graceful in her presentation! She is a master at the sushi bar! We felt we were looking in a window of her heart and soul and allowed to experience her passion for the art of sushi and fine dining. The setting was so peaceful. Each course was thoughtfully prepared to combine just the right flavors and to create a work of art on the plate. The precious waitress was so professional and prompt! We didn’t feel rushed, nor did we feel the timing drag. She was careful in taking care of each person dining to make it the best experience. Everything about this place is so well choreographed that our evening moved along seamlessly and left us eager to come back!
I appreciated the mix of both raw fish sushi, and cooked fish, along with salads and soups; all that brought traditional Japanese fare right to our plates with color and creativity in the presentations. The dessert was the final wow factor. Its purpose might have been simply to seal the flavors of the meal with a lightly sweet and healthy finish, but it was phenomenal. Fresh fruit and a beautiful pomegranate butterfly, with a healthy fermented rice yogurt that is full of nutrients. There is care here from beginning to end both in service and fare. I’m expecting to see a Michelin star!
Delage was truly an experience to remember! Each course is so meticulously and masterfully put together. Chef and her staff were excellent hosts! There was one piece of yellow tail on the first omakase course that is INSANELY good! Worth the money - I really enjoy the intimate atmosphere of our dinner service- each round is only 10 ppl in the restaurant at one time
My fiancé and I will definitely be back!
Great experience celebrating a birthday. Intimate seating. Not overly crowed but perfectly small space. Flavors were very unique and enjoyable. There was one chef and one server which was surprisingly enough. Both were warm and friendly. Knowledgeable clearly explained each dish that came out. Items were perfectly spaced apart allowing you to enjoy each item. Bathrooms are located across a courtyard which was a bit off-putting. Reservations must be made. Pricing is per person and for me was worth it.
Did the Omakase tasting. Presentation of food was outstanding. Several of the dishes were under seasoned. Our least favorite was the banana leaf wrapped eel and lotus root. Both were extremely bland. Wine/sake list is very limited. Not worth the $125 tab for food due to lack of flavor.
Immaculate food. One of the best meals of my life. Really intimate experience at the sushi bar. The food is really unique and it’s enough that you’re feeling full and satisfied by the end.
The sushi is quite good. The dishes out of the kitchen weren't as good. The flavors just didn't quite come together too well in some cases imo and I felt like simpler would have worked better.
Each course better than the last. Taste as beautiful as it looks. An intimate experience (10 seats total) prepared delicately by the chef.
Absolutely amazing food served in a beautifully presentation amidst a charming, intimate setting. For covid safety reasons, they've put up plexiglass dividers which I honestly really enjoyed because it felt like we were in our own little world. Sushi Chef was amazing, great fish selections and presentation, and this was my first time having a female sushi chef, it was exciting to see!
They offer a fantastic range of delicious food. I loved eating here. Employees are always very nice, prices are convenient and the spot is always kept clean.
Exceptional Japanese dinner. Eight courses for $70, at the quality of a traditional Japanese Omakase. Worth at least twice the price.
I prefer this venue a lot.there is a great atmosphere. The food is exeptionaly good.the service is powerful and the team is professional. The pay is satisfactory. I definitely recommend.
It was fine, but not special. The first course was surprisingly bad. I didn't understand why they decided to start with something kind of lousy. The fish was good though.
$70 feels like a steal for the quality of this omakase. Two rounds of excellent sushi between six other inventive but universally tasty courses. Service was excellent, the food was beautifully plated, and the ambiance was perfect for a date night.
