Pizza Restaurant Delarosa reviews
17 The Italian restaurant Delarosa, located on Chestnut, offers a real taste getaway in the heart of Italy. As soon as I arrived, I was seduced by the warm atmosphere and the friendly welcome of the staff. The food was, unsurprisingly, delicious. The authentic flavors of the dishes are reminiscent of real Italian recipes, with a touch of modernity.
However, our experience was slightly clouded by a small mishap: one of our pizzas fell due to an unstable table. But, to the surprise of our group, the staff reacted with exemplary speed and kindness, immediately offering us a new pizza. This responsiveness and concern for the customer reinforce the positive image I have of Delarosa.
All in all, I give the Delarosa restaurant on Chestnut a 4.5 out of 5. Despite the small inconvenience of the table, the quality of the food and the responsiveness of the staff make this place a must for food lovers Italian in San Francisco.
Beautiful, delicious food. Beautiful space - feels very open, airy. Do they always play salsa music? Love that, too! Our server was very attentive and clearly enjoyed her job - kinda rare, that, huh?
We were a party of eight. We weren't able to reserve a head of time, it had to be in person on the day of. We had a pretty short wait of 30 mins.wait from 5: 30pm. We got a few orders of meatballs, fritti cauliflower, burrata bruschetta, and white Argentinian prawns - depending on the amount since we wanted everyone to have a decent bite of the dish. We got three pizzas - margherita, hot salami, and prosciutto di parma.
All the food was good and the service was nice. The staff was patient in explaining the quantity of the dishes we were interested in and helped cut our pizzas into more than the normal six slices.
We appreciated the option to have outdoor dining.
Great food. Ok service, maybe because they were very busy but the food was yum yum yum. Try the beet and kale salad mmmm
My girlfriend and I always get the eggplant pasta and arugula salad, and it literally never misses. Simple, fresh, and healthy. Their red sauce is incredible. They have good happy hour deals too. The burrata bruschetta could be crispier considering it’s bruschetta, but I understand what they’re trying to do. I also think the arugula salad would be delicious with a fruit or nut added in there for a nice flavor/texture contrast. Service is decent, but not out of this world. They have weird music playing every time we go, rather than a simple playlist to fit their modern italian vibes, they play things like paramore or
music you’d hear in the club. It’s just really odd.
For the pizza and pasta we got, I don’t think it was worth the price. Wasn’t rly tasty and felt rly ordinary compared to other Italian restaurants I’ve been too
Fabulous! Loved the drinks, the food and the service. If you can find a parking space, stop in.
Great original pizza in San Francisco … and also serving interesting flavors in their fresh salads.
Food is good. Some servers are not the best. They have the smallest size of double espresso I have ever seen, very much closer to single shot.
Tiramisu is good.
Amazing beet salad, and the chicken skewer was astounding! Mescal negroni a smokey treat! Friendly staff!
The staff is amazing, the food is really really good. The bathrooms are clean and the prices are just as they need to be. I do recommend this place.
Love Delarosa! In particular the funghi pizza — its always been my go to in the marina. However, they’ve recently added a “5% SF employer mandate” fee (?) to all checks. Instead of adding a fee to the bill, have they considered I don’t know.raising the menu prices? That aspect leaves a bad taste in my mouth but otherwise an amazing experience, great food, and awesome service! Please incorporate the mandate into menu pricing.
Pretty touristy and basic food. Pizza was fine but the Chicken was over breaded and fried.
Good Place for invite your friends and families, delicious Pizza, I brought my friends to this place and they really liked the pizza here and we had a great day
Definitely good pizza. Caring staff. It was pleasure to visit the place on Sunday evening. Since we had a dog with us - we asked for a table outside and had to wait ~10 mins. We even got a water for our dog! Dishes arrived quite fast, plus desserts were awesome.
The food is great, the menu is varied. The service is fast. It has a great vibe and community tables are fun.
So good! Try it! No regrets.
I moved out of the Bay Area and recently came here after 5 yrs. Was out and about with the toddler and decided to try pizza. Glad I went with this place. I ordered for pick-up. It was quick, pizza was ready in 15mins, I was still looking for parking lol. We only ordered cheese pizza but it was good enough for the toddler and I. She ate 4 slices, which she normally doesn’t. I’m craving it now but I’m back home.
Parking is terrible! Good luck with that.
