Diner Denny's reviews
16Service was fast and friendly, food was tasty and fresh, prices were comparable to the diner across the street, store was clean and quiet, overall good experience.
It's a Denny's. Don't expect anything amazing or more than average diner food. It's not bad by any means though and pretty much the only restaurant in this area of SF open 24 hours which is nice if you're looking for food at 4am.
Location has no parking at all and for whatever reason the staff was extremely inconsiderate even though there was only one other table when we arrived. They forgot to bring my friend his order for over a half hour and when we tried to get our waiter's attention they brought him the check for the food we hadn't even gotten. When we brought it to his attention rather than accomodating us in any way he was just rude and didn't even apologize for what was obviously his mistake. We ordered some desert at the same time so he wouldnt be eating alone, and when they finally brought his order out, it was in a to-go box, and we felt like we were being rushed out of the nearly empty restaurant. We never said anything disrespectful at all or anything to warrant his behaviour, only because my friend and I have both worked in restaurants before, but anyone else would have been extremely upset. As a former General Manager of multiple restaurants, I would definitely say the staff members need to focus on their customer service, because I felt uncomfortable and probably will never return to this location.
This has to be the coolest Dennys I've been too the food was absolutely delicious I don't usually finish my food but I did that morning
Food is good. We had the All-American + Banana Chocolate something. Good flavors. Service not so good: it was fast, that is a plus. It was not kind though. I had the feeling they were rushing us, like eat fast and get away from here. Which made no sense to me as it was early (09: 00am on June 2021) and the place was empty when we arrived.
What I definitely did not like: my mobile accidentally fell off under the table and I realized the floor and the low corners were super dirty as if they had not been clean for years. It did not feel nice. Restrooms had a maintenance sign on it, but they were not. I believe it was meant to keep the passersby away. It was also not very clean, but maybe because it looked old. There was no mirror in the restrooms. Not a problem, but it caught my attention. Not sure if I would come back.
I just came in for a shake! It took almost 15 mins for the host/waiter to acknowledge me. When he finally came over I told him that I'd like a strawberry shake he told me $10 & when I gave it to him he didn't even bother putting it in the register rather be pocketed it and then made me wait another 10 min while he chit chatted
Always love stopping by Denny's on visiting SF. Highly recommended! Great variety of traditional American favourites.

I mean it's Dennys. Kinda maxes out at 3 stars, and I happen to love Dennys. One of my favorite guilty pleasures but this one ain't great.
It was very long before someone even talked to us and the food wasn't very warm. I was disappointed.
Very dirty to the point i started itching so I took my order to go. They forgot my toast notice it when I got home:/
-Went with a large group of coworkers in the morning
-seating was readily available
-really friendly and helpful staff
Food was ok but I was visiting from out of town and could not believe breakfast was $100 bucks for three adults and two children. $16-22 bucks a per person for BREAKFAST plus extra taxes. I make decent money but DAMN. I will still eat at Dennys but when I visit SF. I will deffinately eat breakfast elsewhere.
I was looking to get cheap eats but their prices were double the normal amount with meals. Average costs are $18 for an entree. And they charge SFHI tax, which is a shocker for me coming from out of town. But service was top notch. And no mirror in the bathroom.
I've been there twice and both times paying with separate checks as a large group was an issue. Otherwise it's good!
This place sucks you pay double the amount that you would normally find at a Dennys granddaughter ordered macaroni and cheese and it was Kraft macaroni and cheese our food which was fish and chicken and it was all cold or overcooked and they had advertisements on every table and in the windows of their Star Wars things cups and trading cards for the kids which they didn't have and my granddaughter was upset cuz she was excited about Star Wars thing
