Denny's, Sacramento CA

Open 24 hours which is amazing. Not much encyclopedia is these days. Stuff was overworked. Understaffed and had very minimal options on the menu. Give me a being Christmas They did a pretty good job. The quality of the food was decent as usual Denny's is. Low ratings due to the order online line feature on maps B apps being completely invalid and incorrect. I ordered I went to pick it up as it said it was done. And when I walked in the door to retrieve my order they told me I was do a refund fund due to lack of of items to fulfill my order

My order did not get brought to the table until after everyone in my party was finished eating. It was biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon, so it was the easiest to make out if all the orders from my family. It was delicious but quite upsetting to eat alone.

Unfortunately tonight was the last time we are trying this one. The last few times we tried eating here around midnight, they told us they were closing early and couldn't seat us. Tonight they let us know they were completely out of every kind of chicken. So we got nachos and loaded tots. Both came out without the queso. It is supposed to be on both of those items. So the waitress felt bad and offered us extra cheese. They just sprinkled more shredded cheese that wasn't even melted. Unfortunately, that was it for us. The only reason I gave it a one is because the waitress was apologetic and we could see they were busy. However, the quality of both food and service has diminished so bad that we will not be coming back.

I know with the pandemic there will be a staff shortage. I completely 100% understand and anticipate a longer wait time.
However, we sat down for 30 minutes, no one came to take our order, offer to provide drinks, not even to come by and acknowledge that we were there. There were about 5 other groups in the restraunt. So it wasn't packed.
It looked like the staff was more worried about their online orders instead.
After 30 minutes, we left. Will we come back, probably not anytime soon.

Ordered online and waited over an hour past the Time the website said it would be ready.
Unfortunately a refund/cancellation is impossible due to the order being online.

Quickly seated 3 tables 1 of which was me 1 was already seated and received no service the entire time I was there. Table next to me arrived at the exact same time. 2 waitresses mgr and at least 1 cook. Waitress didn't want to work as long as the mgr stated. Ordered a grand slam and coffee.got our drinks no silverware.got silverware same time as food so coffees cold at this point no need. No syrup until the we asked for the check which means the pancakes are now cold. Toast never even made it to the table at all. Might have asked for the missing pieces but since she was sniffing the whole time she walked us to the table and she spent half of the time I was at the restaurant in her dealer/boyfriend someone's car.
My food that I actually received was cooked ok, but the table next to me had to send their burger back so maybe the kitchen is suspect as well.

I always love Dennys even when I was a kid on up. I 4got to take pics of what I had. Next time I will take pics. This is me Jan

Waitress at this Dennys+10! She seated customers, took orders, dashed around pouring coffee & other drinks, served everyone AND BUSED ALL TABLES! Two cooks & no other help. These ladies are AWESOME! I WILL RETURN HERE FOR BREAKFAST. Owner give them a raise. All service with a smile and pleasant.

No clean spoons or knives were available so toast arrived pre-buttered with way too much butter. Had to use my fork to stir the ONE cup of coffee I was given. When I pulled off the paper cover of the creamer container - it poured out curdled. The restaurant was not crowded and the two waitresses far away and occupied with other chores

One of the best Denny's in the area! The food is wonderful and service is friendly. The only downside is that for a takeout phone-in order, it's hard to reach someone. The only reason for this is because they are very popular. Definitely an A+ restuarant

We went to dinner late after movie, one of view restaurants open, great service, food was perfect no complaints, plenty of parking close too. Worth the price. Thanks Denny's

Absolutely terrible experience here. Our waitress did her absolute best and did a very good job despite the rest of the crews terrible motivation to do anything right.the hostess never greeted us, we waited 15 minutes just to find out ourselves that there was a list on the counter with a crayon to write your name down. Seems like there is no manager in sight because he was in the kitchen not paying attention to any of his workers! Then we're finally seated (our waitress was serving the whole restaurant, again did a great job given the circumstances) and it took almost 15 minutes to take drinks, then my coffee cup had lipstick on it. Looked like it wasn't even washed. Took about 45 minutes to receive our food and when we did my girls hash browns were raw, toast was barely toasted and even soggy, her mothers prime rib was burnt and not edible by any means. Refills were almost nonexistent due to the lack of servers and people sharing job titles. Then we ask to speak to the manager and he came up with excuse after excuse as to why it's such a terrible experience, that there's all new people and it's a mess. While he's in the back cooking food (which clearly he is a terrible cook) and not watching what's going on up front. When we go to pay and leave, a take out customer came in demanding a refund because his steak was raw and sure enough it was almost 100% raw. The manager came out and just said "oh, I thought you wanted it rare" when it was clearly raw. This also happened when we first got there. Another take out customer was waiting for them to recook his food because it was raw in spots and burnt in others.our waitress was the only good thing about this visit, kudos to her for doing her best in such a terrible work environment. By the way there were 10 employees present including the manager. That size of a crew should be able to easily handle the traffic of a Saturday.

This is a really good Denny's with good service and good food, the employees are friendly and the service is good. I don't live in Sac but I always eat here when I come here.

Hello, I come here once every two months and every time I come this girl Brooke is working back, front cashier and dinning room.
I have never seen anyone helping her.
She really hustles and is professional and polite all at the same time. Did I mention I been coming here almost two years.

Where is management? Give this girl a management position because management sure not doing their job. I say everytime I come. She smiles and does it all.

Brooke, I think that was her name for the late-night, was absolutely amazing. We went and she didn’t have tables open but suggested two nearby Denny’s that we could go to. They were even more busy, so my party and I decided to come back. It was a great decision because everyone had gone, so there was space for us. She is an absolute joy to have as our host/server. Her personality and work ethic is among the greatest. The food was amazing and I am in love with the Green Smoothie and the hot chocolate is always the best here. We were so full and happy throughout the entire night. Thanks for such great service!

The waitress was wonderful. They are very understaffed so things take a bit longer. However they did great, kept up with cleaning and the food was really nice.

My husband had to skillets. They was was delicious. I love Denny's. The waitresses are nice, friendly. It was just wonderful there.
