I dined inside my local Denny’s Restaurant last Tuesday on November 16,2021 at 7 p.m. I sat near the window in a booth seating. Diana my server was very friendly and attentive to me.
I placed my order with Diana. My order was one California Club Sandwich, One Garden Salad with Ranch Dressing, one decaffeinated Signature Blend Coffee with refills, and the Delight French Vanilla Creamers. My total bill was $25.00.
Even though it was quite busy, we were seated right away. Great Beyond vege burger and fries.
Our Danny's at College Blvd and the 76 in Oceanside, CA is always fantastic. Perfectly munchable food!
Staff was extremely rude. My curbside order sat for 20+ minutes it took calling over 10 times back to back just for someone to answer. The host saw us in the takeout parking spot several times and just ignored us. The manager was equally as rude. By the time we got our order it was cold and I had to wait an additional 15+ minutes for it to be remade. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE. I will also recommend that no one I know goes here.
This place has the worse service ever for a Denny’s restaurant, and I have been to many! They are not even deserving of the 1 star, sadly I can’t do anything about that.
My first time dining in, the server never checked on us but they were busy talking to people about the time they had covid. So, I wanted to give them a second try and placed an order for curbside pickup. I show up and they hadn’t started my order! I did curbside because i didn’t want to step in the restaurant but yet they asked me to come in…. I come in so they can tell me my food is not ready. I waited for 40 mins for them to cook my food. They give me my food, I check and I’m still missing meals! They go back to the kitchen and come back to give me crumbs for my toast. They couldn’t even give me utensils for the $100 order I placed and they didn’t even care about it. The restaurant was empty yet they couldn’t handle a 4 plate order. I’m never going here again and I do not recommend it. Corporate, if you read this, I’m happy to chat with you about it. So unprofessional.
We had a server today, Christopher, that was amazing. Observant; never had to ask for a thing he was well trained and noticed our body language and anticipated needs. I have seen Forbes 5 star servers not pick up on the signals he caught. Surprising enough out of the last 5 Denny's we ate at the food was above standard at this location as well. Now not to detract from the server; it's a shame that it is 100% tip share. We would have gladly tipped 20% to the staff on a $40.00 bill and then 100% directly to the server if permitted. Thank you Christopher, and go grab a job at a 4-5* restaurant, you have what it takes and are 1 of a kind for this industry. Hells Kitchen opens @ Harrahs 2022 and you should be the lead server.
Sariya! You were an absolute delight and I appreciate you having a laugh with us and being so down to earth, with all that's going on! Kudos to you and just take your time, people will enjoy your company and conversation more than the food (it was great as well ;), which is how it went for us on that day! Service was horrible. We were told a 10 minute wait for a table. After being seated and placing order waited over an hour for food to arrive at the table. While patrons who sat AFTER us were seated, ordered and ate before we ALL received our food. Manager offered to take off the tater tots which were last and over 10-15mins out after everyone else's entree off the bill. As if that was acceptable in lieu of better service. We weren't attended to like other tables. Just all around bad service and we will not be returning.
The service was terrible! It took forever to place and receive our order. When the order came we had to wait for silverware. Our order was cold. The order was wrong. There was a BIG BLACK HAIR UNDER THE EGGS! GROSS! The manager came to the table and only offered half off the bill. NO APOLOGY OFFERED! GOT DIARRHEA!

The server was great. The only thing that got me there was the fact that they didn't have two of the plates my table asked for.
Our waitress, Ana was great, attentive and offered refills and was very kind despite the wait! Can't speak for the rest of the staff however. Good food, but napkin/knife was dirty and staff did not listen carefully to instructions. All we asked was for no caramel sauce on a stack of pancakes and there were egg shell in the eggs!

No one works here. Very confused as Google says they are open but they aren't same with this sign. This restaurant is going down hill my last experience a month ago was horrible too. I had to drive miles to the next denny's in vista, thanks side for disappointing again. Terrible service.
We were so hungry an looking forward to memorable experience. The food.was delicious but took along time to be served and waitress did not check on us unless we called out for her, was around 8pm and not many people there perhaps they were Short staffed
Food was sub par. Guest service was biased, hence our service was 'meager' at best. I am not coming back here unless I'm invited to do so by family. Servers would complain aloud about their work problems next to the kitchen. I've been to many Denny's diners in various counties and this one was the worst. To the point I didn't want to tip.
I ordered a chicken salad to take home. The salad was not fresh; it was brown around the edges and already starting to turn brown. I will not be going back to Denny's. Salad was not fresh!
Like always, fast service and great food. I had the Denver omelette and for a slightly more, I changed my bread for banana pancakes, which were delicious
Waited more than 30 min for our food. My sandwich was soggy and the fries were cold. My husband's plate was perfect. Most probably they forgot to make his and just left mine sitting around. Horrible!
