Denny's, Chula Vista CA

I gave them a second chance after having ordered “to go” two weeks ago and the order was terrible. Well, last chance given this morning. Prices went up and portions down-sized and even taste went down the flush. Pancakes went from being 6 inches in diameter down to 5, even less. And the French Toast portion went from 2 slices of bread split in 2 (4), down to 1 slice split (2). Picture attached to proof it. What the hell is you problem Denny’s! This is a scam.

We went recently as guests of our son for a steak dinner. Denny's isn't usually the first name that comes up when thinking steak dinner. But, our son insisted we would be surprised.
He had the top sirloin and we had the t-bone steak meals. 'Medium' prepared. Prepared to perfection!
Service was top notch and friendly without overly so. Atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant.
Just be aware of parking. Stay away from In & Out drive through. Always busy.

It was a good place but the service was abnormally slow for some reason. Like 5 to 8 minutes before someone asked what would we like to drink.

Good food.service a bit slow.causing staff to make mistakes in the orders as they're running around trying to cover all tables.

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. It took almost 10 minutes to even place a drink order. Then the server who turned out to be the manager had to come back 5 minutes later to ask me to remind him of my drink. I watched 3 other tables get seated and served before me by a different server. I finally stopped him to ask fir a drink refill and to check on my order since my server did laps around me not stopping once to check on me or update me. Guess what…my order had just been put in. I asked for a manager to only find out it was him. Clearly his performance as a manager/server says everything about this Denny’s. Very disappointing!

Today was the first time going to this Dennys and it was amazing! The wait was not even long even though it was full and the waitress was nice and very fast, her name was Liz. Will definitely be coming back.

I’ve been going here for many years but unfortunately I haven’t been here too much lately. This is because (lately) they either: take too much time to acknowledge your presence, take too long for your food to be ready or there’s always an issue with my order. Hopefully is just a temporary thing because they are understaff and/or have new workers because of the pandemic. I remember I used to go twice a week for a long time so I still have hope they’ll fix these issues. Gave 4 stars because staff are friendly and the place is always clean when I go.

OMG.this Denny's is sooooooo slow. Everyone is moving in slow motion. They have 1 waiter, 2 cooks, and that's it. Probably the worst place to dine in. If you like waiting an hour or more then go for it. Never going back to this place.

The posted times are incorrect. The restaurant closes before 9. I was denied service at 8: 55 pm. I would imagine the dine-in time most likely ends at 8: 30pm.

I just left this location. I’m from out of town
and I wanted to eat a turkey dinner. They took me to a table? And I waited 20 minutes and
nobody acknowledged me. I’ve been going to
Denny’s for many years but this will be my last time.

The young man, a little person, assured us that nothing was left out of our order, but the main thing, the fruit was! I wonder if he ate it!

I ordered a chicken Alfredo with chicken (which cost more) and side of two sausages. My boyfriend got his food with an oreo milkshake. We get our food and the first thing they say. There was no Oreo so we improvised and used chocolate chips. Which by the way was not good. And then I open my food and there is no Alfredo sauce on my pasta and so I tell them. She said we have to ask for sauce if I want some on the Alfredo pasta. She said she’ll go tell them to add it, she comes back and says there is no sauce. She said do you want anything else, and I said can I just get a refund. She said she’ll ask and the manager and comes and said. We can’t get you a refund, would you like something else. So I had to get something the same price, I said just the spaghetti. She said okay with what side. Assuming the sausage was in the bag, I said I already have the sausage so it’s fine. And she said ok. We take our food and went to eat and there was no sausage in my bag. So I paid extra for chicken, and I ordered a side of sausage, and I ended up with just spaghetti.

I dont really like Dennys anymore.
The one in my city has become careless with the food. They need to step it up bigtime.
