Denny's, Oakdale CA

We were traveling after a long day of watching grandaughter play softball. Arrived at this location around 11pm. Host looked overworked, it was late one whole side was full. Service was still prompt I didn't realize Denny's menu was all carbs! Found the Cobb salad and was excited, Actually quite good especially since it was so late I didn't want something heavy. I would recommend this Dennys for the wearied traveler. Or anyone looking for a sit down fast food meal.

I love this restaurant, the food is always nice and tasty and it has the best very friendly staff!

The waitress was slow. Never asked us for a refill. And wasn't on the floor clearing off tables. We won't be going back here to eat ever.period!

They average out to they are great when it's slow, but the staff gets easily overwhelmed in large crowds, so be ready for errors via server to kitchen. Overall, they deliver on their quality.

Husbands country fried steak had hair in it and his corn tasted and looked old. I had the new Mac and brisket and the Mac n cheese was burnt to the skillet and the brisket was extremely burnt.
We had to ask for our utensils after sitting with our food in front of us for a few minutes.
My kids liked their pancakes though

First time going back to Denny's since the pandemic. Hat's off to these guys' food, and the service was great.

The actual food was ok, the shake we ordered though. I watched the server make it with a dirty pitcher. It tasted like it too. Very disappointing. Will not go back. I rarely complain like this, but it was nasty, and unsafe. What if my daughter was allergic to whatever was in the pitcher before?

The meat was extremely salty and seemed to have been cooked beforehand and was immediately reheated, and the atmosphere was hostile due to the yelling that was heard in the kitchen about work and workers.

Out of all of the Denny's in the 209 area this Denny's is the best, best customer service, food cooked perfect, friendly and funny and knows when to be serious when it comes to customer demand and Joey was the best server

Waited 45 minutes for 1 order, When it came it was cold. Service was less than par, Also don’t play the claw game. It opens when it’s 80% up.

Thank you Diane for a hot meal, I had not eaten in 3 Days. And the biscuits and gravy were amazing and the hot coffee warmed my heart and soul.

A very tasty place to have typical American food for breakfast, the service can take a while but the wait is worth it because their food is tasty.

Wow! Incredible better than expected. The food and service was perfect. I had the garlic fries and chicken strips and my husband had the fish and chips both were incredible the best food we'd had in a long time. Very comfortable inside. Great place to go with friends for live music or a game of pool. Very, very friendly staff. Highly recommend this place!

Great service. We were there on Christmas day and were surprised that the servers were fast and joyful.

The Oakdale Denny's is the only Denny's I go to anymore. I used to go to Denny's on Pelandale even the one on McHenry. I don't go to any of those anymore. I would drive all the way to the Oakdale one before I would go anywhere else. The people are Awesome. My food is always perfect. The service is always great. I love that place.

I alway order pancake and sunny eggs and hash brown. It's good so well. My hubby love it. The service is well. Whose alway make sure ask me "anything is good? "

We show up to this location and can tell there's a line. My brother and his wife stand in line to put our party on the waiting list. They were waiting more than 5 minutes to be acknowledged. Finally they add our name and we begin our official wait. More people came in and anoher line has formed. More than 5 minutes pass again before a different woman comes to the desk and begins shouting, "whos next? " Everyone is confused because obviously those that aren't on the list are standing in front of the register and everyone waiting is off to the side. We had to repeat 3 times that everyone waiting was on the list. Okay? So we get to the table. The server was nice but when i got up to go to the bathroom, she brought our food out and while moving stuff around the table she put the paper thing they have standing on the table right on to of my pancakes. I did not know as i was in the bathroom. When i came back, tasted my pancakes, there was an off flavor. I was asking everyone to try them because i didn't understand why they tasted spicy. That's when they told me what happened. And let me tell you, while sitting there just before i went to the bathroom that damn paper thing fell onto the floor twice. So I was immediately sick. Why in the world, would you pick up something to make room for food, set that item into someone's food, and then still serve it to them? I'll never come back to this Dennys because honestly their service isn't really that great from the check in process to the taste of the food. I was going to complain last night but I literally ran out and threw up behind the bush that's near the back of the building. So yeah if you see that throw up, that's mine! Beware, if they'll do that at the table, what will they do in the kitchen? Nasty nasty nasty!

Good food, good service and the price was right. We love this location for it is easy to get to after getting fuel for the car.

The restaurant was nice and clean. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. The bathrooms were also neat and clean and well-kept. The waitress, Giselle was very sweet and attentive. The food was great as always and there was no waiting. The restaurant wasn’t crowded and the prices are affordable! We will definitely recommend this Dennys to our friends and family! Thanks Gizelle to being such wonderful waitress!
