Dr. Force abusively charged $7k only to perform repairs that were due to the poor quality of her work. Then, she banned my service dog from her care without notice.

I brought my service dog for a slabbed tooth. Dr. Force dissuaded me from choosing the cheapest option, such as tooth extraction. She wanted to save the tooth with a root canal, and she represented the service as "cheaper" than dental crown. I trusted her expertise. Dr. Forced performed the root canal, and she charged $3k. Her composite fell off after 4 days. She offered to repair her poor work, and she charged me an extra $1k. Her composite fell off again. Dr. Force offered to redo the root canal and she charged me again for it. Her composite fell off again! We were at $5k expense just for repairs, and she still wanted to redo the root canal, and charge me more! This time, I asked that she removes the tooth, and she charged me an additional $2k for a tooth extraction that was entirely due to the poor quality of her work/equipment.

Total cost was $7k. Please, be extra careful when she sells you a root canal, know that it'll result in tooth extraction at the same cost as a gold crown.

I remember when Dr. Force dissuaded me from choosing the tooth extraction in the first place. Dr. Force never apologized for the poor quality of her work, and she never agreed to use a different composite either. She just kept on charging me more and more for the same ineffective repair. Just imagine the stress of repeated anesthesia, and the accumulation of unexpected bills that far exceeded the initial estimate. With all that stress, I kept cool, and I paid everything, always, on time.

After the tooth extraction was complete, Dr. Force gave me a hug on the parking lot. But, 2 years later when my dog had an emergency, her front desk refused to accept my service dog, said that Dr. Force banned my dog from her care. I could not believe what was happening, after all the money I paid her. She had never given me the smallest notice about this decision. I had not received any letter. She waited for my boy to be in great pain to latch the door at us, without referring us else where. This is beyond unethical.

The staff and doctors at Dentistry for Animals are amazing! They care for both you and your furry/hairy companions as they should, like they’re a part of your family. Caring vets who happen to be very good at dentistry is what they are. Very responsive and excellent staff. Just make an appointment early, as slots fill up fast.

They really take care of the pets that come in. The doctor is very attentive and will give you as much detail as they can. They go through the steps, give pictures, and make sure you don't have any questions. The staff here is wonderful and very helpful. Given they are a specialty place, they do typically have a bit of a wait for appointments.

I left 4 messages over 4 days (because no one every answers the phone during office hours) and never received a call back. Their voicemail says to call Pacific Vet for emergencies, when I called them, they say I need to go to Dentistry for Animals.it's like the Twilight Zone

After being told to arrive early multiple times, I arrived with my senior dog for the appointment early. I was told someone would be out in a few minutes disappointing. After being told they were coming soon, I got my 95 lb.arthritic older dog with pneumonia out of the car so we would be ready after being told they were coming. After 20 minutes of waiting I called them again and was put on hold even though I could see through the window 3 staffers standing talking to each other. I was told the dentist was running late and that "maybe" she would be 5 more minutes. Her description did not match it being only 5 minutes more. I had tried to explain to the person about my dogs health issues. She was completely uninterested in hearing the details and abruptly ended the conversation by saying the tech would get all that information. The person said I could "just reload my 95 lb" ill dog back into the car and wait. My dog has to be carefully lifted in and out of the car. There was no place outside to sit for either if us. Putting him through being lifted with painful hips and spine is not something to do multiple times as a result of their lack of communication about how late they'd be.
Their clear lack of knowledge about how much longer it would be, after all the instructions to me to "be early", combined with my dog getting some kind of asthma attack while outside there and being allergic to something there, made me decide to stop the problems and reload my dog and take him home. Since the drive is an hour each way, between prep time and waiting time, half a day of my time was wasted. After that experience I got a call from a person saying she "understood I was unhappy".
She said she was trying to work with me just after telling me they "couldn't" refund the money they forced me to pay up front just to be able to make an appointment initially. I had a difficult time trying to understand how that was helpful. I'm waiting to see whether that money will be refunded since I received nothing of value and my dog put through a very rough time for nothing and a half day of my time wasted. I had been trying for months to get my dog in and this was very disappointing. Hard to understand the justification to keep $165 after going through this when the dentist wasn't even available at the agreed time.

My dog seemed well taken care of. He's resting right now after a lot of work on his mouth today.
