I had an incident with a employee named Chad Vasquez. Lied about everything that happened. My own case manager named Alesha Pierce wrote up the report with the lies and everything. Stated nothing from my side of the story. Now I'm being retaliated against by Alesha Pierce. She is with holding my transportation check, clothing voucher and eye care for glasses. She is supposed to be helping. But she is causing more stress, pain & suffering than anything else! She also is very rude & acts like the money is coming out of her pocket. They fail to comprehend every client has a disability physically & or mentally. Alesha Pierce has taking none of this into consideration.

I had a representative named Sabina Virgo. One day I called her from an elementary school where I was subbing to ask her if I could pick up my texts at CSLA. I was in the process of working towards my credential and Master's in the Visually Impaired- Special Needs Department. Suddenly she viciously asserted, "Do you have a Bachelor's Degree? "
Now, obviously I did because I was studying at the Graduate level. "Yes. "
She sputtered, "I cannot pay for your supplies for a Master's. REHAB ONLY PAYS FOR THE BASIC REQUIRED PREPARATION FOR A JOB. AS A TEACHER YOU ONLY NEED A CREDENTIAL! "
She slammed down the phone.
I am a trauma victim with a mental illness diagnosis, which is why I was entitled to Rehab services in the first place. I was subbing as much as I could and doing very well. In no way in hell did I do ANYTHING to warrant her sour attitude.
Especially since I have dark skin. You see, my former roommate, Annette, had a Master's ENTIRELY FINANCED BY REHAB. Her job- TEACHING BASKET WEAVING AT THE BRAILLE INSTITUTE FOR THE BLIND. Annette was white.

Staff is great, mostly. Mr Vine is the best counselor there. He has compassion, sensible advice, and always patience. Firm but fair.
