Derick Holt, M.D., Clovis CA

Dr. Holt has been my son's eye doctor for several years and he knows his stuff. But the office staff is horrible, especially on the phone. When I asked to speak to an office manager after not getting anywhere with the receptionist, she hung up on me. For the last several appointments - that I schedule months in advance - they have changed the time on me with little notice and expect me to adjust my busy schedule (ie, take it or leave it). The wait time is unacceptable for a pediatric patient population, and the least staff could do is apologize for the wait when they finally do call us back.

Dr. Holt is the best. He takes the time to be explain the problem. He is worth the wait to see. Thanks Doc!

Been with Dr. Holt for over 10 years. Each visit gets more crowded and his time with patient less. My daughter's most recent annual visit was a wait time of 3.5 hours with him spending less than 5 mintues with us and dismissing my concerns. He used to care and spend time with patients. Doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Time to look for a new eye doctor.

Great service.
This place had such great service, very friendly and patient, even for kids with special needs. Though the wait was long, as it’s a doctor’s office, it was well worth it for the quality and thoroughness of the procedure and explanation. The lobby was clean and spacious, good for strollers.

Quality of service & professionalism is great…unfortunately there is always an extremely long wait.

Doctor Holt and all of the staff were great but our entire appointment took 4 hours! As a pediatric office this seems extreme to expect children to wait this long.

The Dr is great, Dr. Holt, but the experience is terrible. An appointment takes 2-3 hours and that is insane. Our time should be respected as clients just as you expect us to be on time for our appointments.

He was great. Very nice. Professional. Staff was great. But the wait was awful. We were there for over 3 hours

First time visiting the Clovis Eye Q office for my baby boy’s appointment and went better than expected. He was seen in less than two hours. Dr Holt does great with eye exams and is quick and efficient. The staff was nice and welcoming too. Oh and if needed, they also have a quiet room you can use if available.

Dr Holt is the best in town. He's been able to care for my kid's optical needs since they were little.

Clean office, nice staff, great and well educated doctor. The wait is long that’s the only thing but, honestly I think because the doctor is an awesome doctor that’s why everyone goes to him and that’s why they are busy. So that explains the long wait which is ok. He’s worth the wait. He really cares about these lil babies eyes and that beans everything for me!

Love Dr. Holt. However Waiting 45 minutes after appointment time is an issue. Especially when you have an autistic children. Total appointees time was 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Great Doctor first time here and he was really helpful and polite answered all the questions i had with my child really recommend this place all nurses and front desk really nice Good experience.

We waited over 3 hours. It was only an eye exam for my 4year old. They didn't even dilate the eyes. It's a mess in the waiting room and the actual exam took less than 20 minutes all together. We've had four prior apts and they are all chaos as far as waiting. The office is the worst! Only pediatric ophthalmologist in the Valley or else I'd go some where else.

Very kind and professional front and back office staff. Dr. Holt comes with years of experience and is a pleasure to be seen with every visit.
