Descanso Gardens reviews
15It's beautiful and it smells amazing in some parts. We had a nice picnic lunch on the outside benches under an oak tree. You can't tshirts food outside but bring water. Trails are easy but can be steep at times.
What a gorgeous botanical garden. A hidden gem. They also have a great cafe with indoor AC seating. Great place to take the kids or just stroll for an hour or so.
It's a beautiful park close Downtown los Angeles. So many different plant, flowers etc.
Also we had a gourmet lunch at the kitchen market cafe.
Definitely a place to relax.
Beautiful place. They have drinking water throughout the trails. Water fountain and you can fill up your water bottle.
Didn't know this place was there. Great place for nice walk in a cool environment. In some ways like walking through a forest.
Beautiful gardens, don't miss the Japanese garden with the koi.very relaxing. Makes you want to stay and enjoy nature.
Beatiful place to bring young kids, a relaxing place to read books and walk especially to see animals around you and a lot birds the roses garden is awesome and you can get your wedding in that place too is so beatiful inside the boddy house with classic music and they give you a tour inside the park too if you want one of the most beatiful park that I visited
This 36,000 acre refuge in Glendale offers some of the best gardens in Southern California. Inexpensive to enter, free parking, it is totally affordable on most budgets. Much is devoted to children and garden lovers as well as concerts and other cultural events on the grounds.
This is a beautiful place! I would recommend going alone at least once. I think I should take my own recommendation as well. I think the experience would be much more serene. I crave the quietness and the stillness that you get when you are alone in Nature. I think that if I cannot get away to a National Park, then this would be one of the places that could fill that need. I imagine weekends are the busiest so try to head there during the week if you can.

Everything was delicious. Heard they take reservations after the fact. Suggest you do that when able as it can get busy at times.
Great walk and interesting history. Took the in laws who were visiting. Took a but more than an hour to walk the whole thing. Not very strenuous.
Good place to relax, lots of walking, very interesting history! Bring water, sun screen, hats and youll need several hours to walk the entire area and see all the gardens! A
It's like a magical oasis tucked right into a little neighborhood, so unassuming. I loved it. My toddler ran and ran all over the place and they had a quite little storytime event when we went. Ours isn't ready to sit still that long, but it was beautiful and I'd go again.
Beautiful gardens, ponds, and lots of trees to give plenty of shade! If you're lucky you'll even spot some deers prancing around! Also, every 3rd Tuesday of the month, admission is free!
