A must stop on the I8. Beautiful views of the mountains and desert. Worth the money to go up into the tower. A bunch of cool knick knacks.

Cool place for a short hike climb the desert tower stairs for a great view of the desert below. Also, lots to see inside some new some from the day gone by.

Sometimes you just need a good old fashioned #roadsideattraction. This little gem in off interstate 8 at exit 77. For $7.50 you can climb this tower built in the 1920’ and see boulder park. The park
Is great for climbing and exploring. If you are looking for some #quirky fun. This is your stop!

Unique property with a lot of potential. The rock area was fun but unfortunately some people throw their trash in the rocks.

Had an incredible time visiting the tower and rocks, the views were almost as good as the company, the man at the tower was an absolute gem and was very eager to tell me about the surrounding lands and an array of other topics. Puppies were good company too!

I see this every time I'm driving to and from San Diego and I always say Someday I will stop. Well, today was Someday. It's a great spot for a break and the view cannot be beat. There are interesting items throughout the tower, one level like a museum the next a mini flea market. We didn't do the caves but those also looked fun. I'd stop again, especially with anyone who hasn't been

Great place-shop, the view from the top tower is great. There are many unique items and the owner is very friendly. Ask for discounts in whatever you are interested.

A very good place to stop. The top is very cool, but maybe not for those nervous of heights. Very beautiful place. There is a boulder park behind, very interesting just be careful.

Quirky Place. If you are looking for a reason to get out of the house for a road trip to some place memorable, this would be a good place. "IF" the tower is open, fun place to browse to see all the things that have been collected. The Rock garden is as you might expect, I likened it the "Mystery Spot", which means, that you are getting what you pay for. My kids enjoyed bouldering there, but for the adults, really, its a pile of rocks.

On the way there, you will see some really weird stuff, just enjoy the scenery and the ride. And great views of the desert from the tower "IF" the tower is open.

Lovely little place to stop on a long drive east-west. The two guys who work here are very knowledgeable of the local area. They will gladly answer questions!

I really enjoyed my visit to the Desert View Tower. There's an interesting story and a great vibe here. If you like history and unusual architecture, then this place is for you. The tower offers great open air views of the desert from the top. The lower floors are filled with an eclectic and interesting blend of gift shop, bookstore, museum items and other oddities - a authentic roadside attraction. Leave plenty of time to explore Boulder Park and view the carved rock sculptures. In addition to the really nice people that operate the site, you may discover and view the peafowl that roam the grounds. Definitely worth the visit and the bargain price of admission. Don't miss it.
