Diablo Podiatry: Offices of Dr. William Stewart and Dr. Christyn Marshall reviews
6Excellent Dr. She listens every single complaint of patient's and comes up with reasonable solutions.
Visited Dr. Christyn today, I had lot of questions and she answered all my questions in detail and staff is also very helpful.
I’m not a reviewer but after my experience with dr Marshall I really feel like I should write about what happened. I went to Dr Stewart for my bunions and he said he wasn’t taking anymore surgeries, he was giving them to Dr Marshall. I trusted him and let her do the surgery for me on one foot. After a long recovery, the issue was never corrected. I went to dr Stewart to get his opinion and he said it didn’t look corrected to him either and that her generation of doctors under-correct with the fear of over correcting. I don’t understand how that is ok but I still went back to talk to her again. She said it looked fine and that I would get bunions again because the surgery wouldn’t correct it (why wasn’t I told this in my pre op appt?) I asked to have dr Stewart correct it and he said he wasn’t going to “get in the middle of it” and that she should be the one to do the 2nd surgery. I got my charts and left. I had another doctor fix it and he did my other foot at the same time (Marshall and Stewart won’t do both feet at the same time). My recovery was very quick with the other dr and both feet feel and look great. My recovery with Marshall took 6-8 weeks with me not being able to walk much, she told me I had to elevate my foot all day. The doctor that actually corrected my bunions, had me moving more and recovery was 2 weeks with both feet. I felt way less pain the 2nd time around and swelling was not nearly as bad as it was with Marshall. You never know how a surgery will turn out but Marshall was clearly not experienced enough and the lack of professionalism made it even more disappointing. I know Dr stewart and dr Marshall are family friends which is why he gave her his patients but she is not a good doctor.
My experience here has been uneven. After a very promising start and a great deal of immediate understanding of my problem, Dr. Marshall ordered orthotics but they weren’t right. She sent them back, they still weren’t right, and when the third set came in she again failed to verify that they were done properly so I now have to go back again.
Keep in mind she doesn’t have email and they don’t use voicemail (“Please call back again later. ”) AND they close for lunch for 2 hours each day! This makes it pretty frustrating to do follow up bookings - which I am having to do a lot.
And I don’t know what bearing this has on anything but she uses something I think is called Google glass (?) which just makes me feel like I’m being taped to the whole appointment. I’m not sure if that’s what’s happening but it’s unsettling.
Dr. Marshall is the absolute best foot surgeon for charcot and other joint issues in the feet.
