Dickey's Barbecue Pit, Apple Valley CA

Unprofessional, they gave me the wrong order and then treated me as if it was my fault. That same order was given to a different customer after, I touched that food checking for what I ordered. Missing cookies is how it all started. Instead of them saying that from the start, we gave you the wrong order. They treated me as if i was trying to steal from them. Would not give me a manager's name or their name. Online order was not anywhere near ready for pick-up time selected, 45 minute wait. Please don't eat here.

Good food and friendly service. It did take a bit to get all of our food but it was good overall and the location was clean.

The staff is very friendly, this is my favorite place to go eat on my days off, there has been a time or two where the food was over cooked, & green beans over salted but with the new ownership now it’s gotten a lot better!

My wife and I stopped in yesterday we were heading home to Modesto from Vegas and decided to stop in Apple Valley for Dickeys BBQ. Food was great the customer service was good. My wife were upset with the shift supervisor, an Asian American man named Dennis, who was treating his new employee an African American lady who was still learning and messed up a couple of times. He kept coming over and embarrassing her in front of us the customers and my wife even told the guy, "it's ok she new and learning still. " I'm sorry but nobody should be treated like that, and we were all new at our jobs. We felt really bad for her, and uncomfortable eating there after that. Hopefully things get better around there.

The new management and owner are doing so much better. It's good food and actual service behind the counter, not just an attitude and thrown together. It's clean and the music is playing again too.

I had an offer for a free sandwich with the purchase of a yellow cup drink and it was my first time eating here. I ordered a coke and they gave me a flat watered down Diet Coke and ordered the original barbecue pulled pork sandwich and got a cold plain pulled pork sandwich. We waited for an additional 15 minutes past the time it said it’d be ready for pick up just for both items to be wrong. We were going to order dinner for our family here if the food was good but since it was very lackluster we just left and got dinner elsewhere. The place was empty too so I’m not sure why they got the order wrong when I was the only customer. I can see why it’s always dead.

Don’t place a DoorDash at night, cause they like to steal your money and not give you food. Say the food is ready for pick up then say surprise we’ll refund you in 3-5 business days

The staff are always friendly, they seem to always have a nice heaping helping of jalapeno cheddar sausage available when I come on my break from Target, thank you guys for all that you do. In case you guys are wondering this is a new set of owners and they are nothing like the old owners. The food is constantly fresh the service is second to none and the place is impeccably clean at all times

We wanted to try this place so bad. We verified the close time to be 9 pm online. We arrived shortly before 8. They said they are open until 9 pm BUT only for "to-go. " The lobby "closes at 8 pm. "

We had a large party and wanted to eat and hang out but we couldn't!

What's up with that? !

We walked out and spent our money at Oggies.

The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was clean, and there was country music playing, but it was also completely empty. The service was ok, but beyond ordering, they never came by to ask if things were going well or if I needed anything. The food, unfortunately was a real disappointment. As I had ordered the 3 meat combo I expected that I would have plenty to eat, but that was not the case. I was given a single, dry rib and a rather meagre portion of brisket. I would not have been shocked if half my order fell off the tray before it got to me. I did enjoy the jalapeno cheddar sausage and the potato casserole, but after eating everything, I must say that I am still hungry. I won't be visiting another Dickey's any time soon.

My family and I had went inside an hour before closing yet the woman there was rude to my family and I giving an attitude as if we were not welcome there

Well they just reopened the bbq store and I got worst serves I had 40 minutes just to be waited on and the frys were raw they gave me the wrong bbq sauce I asked for mild and they gave me hot so I wont go back

She forgot the pulled pork in our frito pie other then that which kinda is a big deal the serving size was great on the meat.

16 March 2023. I went to Dickey's when they first opened years before the C. V pandemic. The owner was a Chinese American man. The staff and food was good back then. The portions of Okra was a nice amount. Now they have gotten stingy and only giving smaller portions of Okra, but price is still high for okra.

Earlier this year, they were closed down on Roy Rogers street in Victorville for a few months. Prior to that time, I had stop eating there because the employee would also cut the brisket either to thick or pulled and stringy, which was difficult for me to swallow. A few times, I almost choked while eating it. However, the brisket taste was good. I do Not eat pork at all.

Last week, I was in the Jess Ranch section of Victorville and I decided to once again try that location. The nice Caucasian/White woman in her 40's gave me a sample. The taste was great and I do not remember her name, but she is the best meat cutter ever and the little petite young woman, Destiny was great too. Please bring back the ice cream. There is no reason not to have ice cream and using COVID as a reason is not valid because people every where are in stores, movie theaters, on airplanes and in restaurants Without masks.

Been waiting 10 minutes just to order. Got only two people working and I'm wondering what the young black guy is doing besides standing around because he could be taking orders or helping prep the meat. I'm walking out.

This place used to be good but has gone very far down hill. Got a 3 meat plate and was told I could only get 1 meat choice as ribs which turned out to be a good thing because the ribs I got were so hard they hurt my teeth and as if that wasn’t bad enough, my boyfriends pulled pork was so fatty he ended up not being able to eat any of it. To top it off the girl that was working was incredibly rude and even if the food had been better her attitude was enough to make us not want to come here again. For the price we paid for our meal I expected much, much more in terms of food and service. The next time I want Dickeys I will gladly take the time to drive to a different location.

Wanted BBQ and got a good meal. Had a little trouble with putting a lid on the little cup of sauce. Also there was a new guy and the older manager had a long line and no service gloves.
