Really delicious dumplings. The short ribs was also very good. Don't come here if you're looking for General's chicken or the like though, this place is authentic. Be prepared to go early to put your name in and walk around the mall for a while, wait times are long.

Din Tai Fung has become my top choice for dumplings and the San Diego branch has a special place in my culinary heart.

Let's talk about the stars of the show – those dumplings are a taste sensation, each one meticulously crafted with flavors that never disappoint. Same with the noodles.

Having explored other Din Tai Fung spots in California, I've come to appreciate the consistent quality they maintain across their various locations. It's reassuring to know that you can rely on a top-notch dining experience, no matter which branch you visit.

Given the popularity of Din Tai Fung, securing a reservation is a wise move. This place is in demand for a reason, and it ensures you won't miss out on the gastronomic delights they have to offer. Whether you're a seasoned fan or a first-timer, Din Tai Fung promises a culinary journey that's well worth trying out.

Shanghai rice cakes from the Wok are filling, Soy Noodle starter is tasty, Sesame Xia Lao Bao was a treat with each bite! We had reservations, and we had to wait 10 minutes outside. So we got a complementary starter! Who expected? ! The service is impeccable! Quick, very helpful. First timers do need some help. All of the visits felt like we wanted to come again! No discrimination.all the customers are made to feel nice with tasty food and service. This is my only good experience here in the USA, compared to all the restaurants I have ever been!

Good ambiance, quick and friendly service. Great food, highly recommend the baos and the spicy wontons. Portions are small to medium, they recommend two entrées per person. Prices are good but because you order more than one entrée, you end up paying more. Highly recommend to make a reservation, otherwise the wait is usually at least 2hrs.

This restaurant always had a long lineup during the weekend so we didn't get to try it but finally we dined at this place yesterday (Tuesday).

The first thing I noticed was how friendly and professional the staffs were. Many greeted us as we were being seated and our waiter was very friendly and talkative. The interior was really nice too.

Our waiter (Andrew) was very knowledgeable and professional. I would even say he was the best waiter I've seen. He explained the menu in detail and answered our questions kindly.

The food was amazing too. The portion seemed a bit small but since the food came out one by one, we got to eat it slowly and that helped me not fall into the food coma.

Overall the dining experience was really great! No wonder there were so many people lining up at this restaurant.

Honestly very surprising how rude the staff is.
Experience not worth the food, our party felt very unwelcome from check in.

By far my favorite restaurant. No matter who you are, just try it! Super tasty and great food. Best service I've ever had; whatever you picture good service to be, quadruple that and that's what you'll get dining here. And check out the bathrooms! Not joking. The bathrooms are always squeaky clean! Such a great place to eat. I recommend trying the kale; I recommend it to everyone not because it's my favorite, but because this is the only place I know that makes kale and it doesn't taste bitter. So tasty!

Well worth the wait, Nico, our server was amazing! He was knowledgeable and super friendly. The entire staff was working hard on a busy Saturday and was very welcoming. The new chicken soup dumplings were amazing, we also tried the broccoli for the first time and really enjoyed it.

The sweet and sour ribs and cucumber salad are good, the wood ear mushrooms pickled and disguting. The filet mignon bowl is good. The fried noodles so-so. The potstickers are the same as frozen, and I'm just not a Bao guy, don't like chewy dough.

My friend bought a take out and it's the same quality as dine in. Everything tasted so good and warm when it arrived in the hospital.

Let me say this. Not woth the hype. This place is no dim sum. Only food I would recommend is the pork soup dumplings (Xiao long bao) and maybe their cucumber salad and string beans. However, it's not worth the price. Their suimai is wrapped soup dumpling wrapper with some crab pieces at the top and not traditional suimai. If you want better soup dumplings and string beans, I would recommend spicy city near convoy.

Food was great. Service was slow. The spicy Szechuan beef noodles (no soup) was excellent!

I liked that very much. Big business, full, loud, make sure you make a reservation. Friendly service, good food. Try the Chocolate & Mochi for dessert.

Great food, service, and we'll decorated. The staff was fast and friendly and the porkxiolongbao were especially good along with the chocolate buns. The pork chops are a little small for bigger families, but very good. The place is well decorated. There can be a very long wait to get in, but it is well worth it.

Din Tai Fung-ing should be a regular thing because dang, it's so good. Let's start with how organized the customer service is here at DTF, so on point. From check in to check out, this is a very well oiled machine. Everyone was so incredibly friendly, upbeat and knowledgeable. I'll also mention how clean this place is. Even the managers were seen sweeping floors and keeping the overall appearance neat and tidy.

Foodwise there's not much I can add here. For us, the sleeper hit was their Seaweed and Beancurd Salad, so light and refreshing plus acted as an amazing vehicle for their house chili oil. My gawd so good! Everything was expertly prepared and beautifully dressed.

My only complaint, slight, they didn't make any Chocolate XLB on our visit. Was hoping to try them but I guess this gives us another good reason to come back.

Went here twice in a row because we missed the food since moving to Toronto 10 years ago. We used to go the one in Singapore and this one here in San Diego was everything I hope it would be. The Xiao Long Baos were smaller than the ones we used to have but it still tastes the same. The Pork Chop with Fried rice was superb, the pork was tasty and tender and was cooked just right. The Beef Noodle was good and the beef was very tender. Everything else was good as well. Service was very efficient and good.
