Discount Tire, Escondido CA

I got unlucky with Discount Tire. They broke one of the lug nut when installing the tire, and I had to spend $100 to just get it (two nuts were broken) fixed at a local mechanic. In the end I realized repairs due to their mistake came out very expensive and burnt my purse, so make sure to inform them to be careful when installing tires.

Came in with a nail in my tire. Staff was welcoming and kind throughout the process. Kept me updated throughout the process. Their estimated wait time was on point. Other shops told me it wasn’t repairable. I came into discount just before opening and they were able to plug and repair no problem. I love a honest shop! 10/10 definitely recommend bringing your vehicle here for all your tire needs.

Horrible customer service! Stood in line for over 20 minutes without someone even acknowledging our existence. Won't ever come here again. Not even a please hold on, or will be right with you SMH.

Careless and not qualified to do basic tire replacement. First they put one of my tires on backward. Took me finding the issue and convincing them it was wrong. Tire changing 101, these tires even have writing that says “outside”.
. Then I washed the super dirty wheel this morning mostly due for the lubricant they use, only to find scratches and chunks taken out of the wheel. I know for a fact they were fine prior cause I just detailed the car before getting new tires.

Overall good experience. Had a flat time and they were able to replace it within a couple of hours. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Was never notified when the car was ready to be picked up which I wish they would’ve let me know.

Great customer service and great employees. Especially Nora.she is as knowledgeable and personable as she is a cutie. Thanks again. I will def be back.

I scheduled a 10AM Appt to have my tires balanced. I arrived at 9: 50AM and was greeted immediately. They gave me an update on the status of my tires, explained what they’d be doing and said they would be done no later than 11AM. By 10: 15AM they had completed the work, pulled the car up and I was on my way. The team was very nice and provided the right information. I wouldn’t have changed anything.

I had to drop my car off while they were closed because of a nail in my tire. The next day I got a text as soon as they opened telling me my car was being looked at. They repaired the tire in under and hour free of charge!

This place rocks. Always super helpful and knowledgeable. Today I came in for a reoccurring tire issue and they fixed me right up. I'll be a lifelong customer for sure. Thanks guys. Great work.

Probably nothing to do with the tires but I got covid from one of their employees, they should put more attention to the health of their people to protect themselves and their clients

The service tech saw my tires where under warranty so instead of a $500 bill, it was $90. Love this place.

Purchased four new tires and had them installed here - All four tires were at the wrong air pressure from spec. Two front were over filled and rears were under filled. While I was on the freeway home the rear left tire became flat, when I pulled up to a gas station to fill the tire, I discovered that the Schrader valve had not been tightened down, which is causing air to continuously leak. When I called and asked about the issue they said you can come by but it would take 3 hours for them to address the issue because they are busy.

These guys are great! They really take care of their customers with the best service. I have been buying my tires from them for over a decade and am so glad because they check and fix them quickly and kindly! Thank you!

10/10 would recommend. I got a fresh set of continental control contact sport srs+ and Ralph gave me a great deal. The installation went smoothly and the techs have great attention to detail. Definitely coming back.

These guys are such pros! I got a flat and they fixed it in under an hour. Place was busy too! I'm not saying they can always pull that off, but man I was pleasantly surprised. I'll be back when I need new tires. Keep up the good work!

I purchase a set of 4 tires back in 2020 for my Mazda3. Religiously I’m having my tire rotated every time I’m due for an oil change (every 5k miles). Today I was advised by a specialist that I needed new tires. (I went to a discount tires San Marcos). I told them go ahead (i always takes their advice for safety) I was then informed that the tires I currently have is not the one on their file. (he admitted that they do sell that brand). How was that even possible, the only placed that I’ve been purchasing and rotating my tires is with Discount Tires. I even showed him the receipts and history of tire rotations. So, I went back to this store (Escondido) and a specialist informed me that someone might have entered a wrong brand. I’m not sure if I got ripped off with the tire I purchased, but that’s really a shady transaction. Sales Person 8 named Nicholas Acebedo. Sorry to call him out but that’s really a shady practice.
