Disney California Adventure Park reviews
15DCA is wow! Fantastic theme park, and my family so much thrilled and experienced almost all the adventurous attractions. We have been visiting Disneyland past 20years but DCA, first time visit to DCA is priceless, amazing. My favorite *Soarin* Mesmerizing travel to world wonders. My husband's favorite Radiators Spring Racers Racing in a valley, My daughter's favorite IncrediCoaster, best roller coaster. My son's Favorite Gaurdians of the Galaxy is awesome. Not only these attractions, , Every other attraction in DCA is special and super.
Overall the park was pretty fun. Nice and clean. It definitely has a carnival type feel to it in roughly half the park. Don't wait more then 20 minutes for Web Slingers.trust me. Soaring isn't too bad, The Incredicoaster was fun, Cars is awesome, Toy Story 3D was pretty fun, Goofy ride is scary in the sense that it may fall apart (rusty and carnival feel to it). Its also a little painful to ride on. The Gardiner of The Galaxy Tower was a lot of fun. Enjoy your time there! Park is smaller then Disneyland for your reference.
If you never been, you gots to go at least once. It can get a little crazy and packed but it is what it is. It's all mostly out doors but I keep my mask on just for that little extra safety. Rides weren't long that even I went, Nov 30th 2021. They had little events that goes on at certain times, you can find on the app. We all loved it. Very fun and entertaining. Alcohol can be found here too. They have Michelados inside the ice cream shop right after you enter. Good stuff. Very chill. Good times. Will be back soon!
Coming from the East coast and only experiencing Disney World, this park was amazing! I'm in love with Pixar pier! My daughter and I had a blast and we will be back for sure!
Loved the CARS attraction and the food was surprisingly good for a theme park. Not too much for the little ones to be fascinated about though but if you haven't gone you might as well.
We have always had annual passes and have been impressed with how clean the parks have been maintained. This last week we went back the first time since covid. Honestly, it was a hot mess.
Always love coming here. We came on a Tuesday, and the park was busy. Some rides had long waits, Carsland and Toy Story in particular. Be advised, no more Fast Pass! They are working on a new system, but it wasn't up and running during our visit. It's going to be similar to the old Fast Pass, but of course, there will be a fee. Still, after 2 years of Disney drought, coming here is like visiting an old friend. Worth the wait!
Not as good as Disneyland, but still a fun place to check out. I wish Cars Land and Star Wars Land could swap places, then Disneyland would be the only park worth visiting. California Adventure needs to do a far better job of refilling sanitizer stations. We tried 8 stations in a row that were empty, but if your excited 7 year old forgets her mask, they'll chase her down shouting at her about masks. If they cared half as much about the sanitizer as they did the masks, they wouldn't all be out. It's also interesting how you'll be packed into line queues, shuttles, firework viewing areas, etc but then they think masks take the germs into another dimension magically.
The park wasn't crowded tonight and we really enjoyed ourselves. Despite there being less crowds, the wait times for popular rides was consistently over 50 minutes until the last hour before park closing. The parking is now $30 per automobile, so be prepared for that. As far as covid policies, most rides had us wear masks once we reached the enclosed space. There were also more unmasked people that we observed walking around than those with masks. Lastly, if you want to see characters, they aren't really taking pictures up close like they used to, they have their meet and greets at a distance.
Kids loved it too bad that the ride for cars was temporarily closed when we went.that the only ride my son wanted to ride and it was close.
We had such a fun time. The weather was nice and most of the lines to get on the rides were not too long.
Better than Disneyland! Saw more Disney characters, rides were better and lines shorter. You can grab a beer and enjoy the festivities without feeling so rushed and like your feeding greedy pockets (Disneyland was total opposite).
Much improved over our experience about 20 years ago. Soaring around the world and Incredicoaster were great, along with Avengers Campus. Bring your own food.
So around 2: 30 pm we wanted to go on cars. Keep in mind my mom has a severe broken foot with scooter and a doctors note. Comes up and they tell her to go in the stand by line. So we don’t go on it. Than it gets worse, my husband and I go on it later and see that a couple of people that are on the electric wheelchair cut ahead that are not cripple AT all. That doesn’t make sense at all! And it’s ridiculous for people that are actually injured!
As I'm getting older, I'm starting to enjoy DCA more than Disneyland. It feels less congested and I enjoy all the different places to eat and to grab a drink. It's nice to be able to sit with a drink in hand and just people watch!
