This hotel was a wounderful experience. My family and i enjoyed the environment and atmosphere of your hotel. Your story time restaurant is a five star establishment. The food was to die for keep up the outstanding service.

For the price my stay last week was very disappointing. I could have spent less money and stayed at the Montage and had a clean room as well as access to the dining in the hotel. I booked at GCH because I was told it was the best hotel Disney had to offer. My family arrived early and there was a ton of other guests checking in so there was a bit of a wait. Completely understandable! But it was a churn n burn of guests; nothing magical about that. We explored Downtown Disney until our room was ready, and ready early which was awesome and appreciated! However as soon as we arrived in our room I was a bit grossed out. The carpet was old and seemed sticky, the bathroom tiles looked spotted and unwashed, and the wood paneling everywhere was dusty. I was completely underwhelmed especially with the over $500 a night price tag that didn't include parking nor any magic hours. It was convenient to get into California Adventure (we went twice there.) Sixty days prior to our stay I started looking for dining reservations (no luck in our hotel nor at the parks.) While in the hotel there was no quick-service available on the first floor of GCH. Not because there wasn't quick-service but because they were overwhelmed. Good luck with mobile ordering! No in-room service which is fine if you could just eat at a restaurant in the hotel.but wait you can't because there are no dining reservations. You could get a $10 cookie from the treat cart or an $8 cupcake and the cupcake I have to say I enjoyed! The sugar cookie not so much. The fireplace downstairs was nice but the area around it had glass rings everywhere and sticky leather rocking chairs. I thought surely we would see maybe one character walking through the hotel or wave from a balcony but no. I can't say this hotel had any magic to it. The cast members were kind but not anymore then say a Marriott. I regret staying here because I thought it was supposed to be the best and I wanted the best for my family. I really should have stayed somewhere else and walked the extra 100 feet each day! I will absolutely never ever be lured to stay at another Disney property. It was not worth the money. I wish I had not decided to splurge. I hope another Mom reads this and decides against staying at this hotel. I'm sorry but I just don't get what was supposed to be so magical about this hotel.

We have stayed here a number of times and continue to enjoy coming back. The staff are fantastic, the rooms are very clean and well thought out. Since the recent refurbishment, they have added multiple electrical outlets that include USB plugs. The indirect lighting in the rooms is really a nice touch. And the rooms with park views are a real bonus.

If you have the opportunity to stay here while visiting Disneyland do it! The hotel is gorgeous, the cast members as so nice and friendly. When you are tired from being at the parks all day, it is so convenient how close the hotel is. And you have direct access to California Adventure from the hotel!

The room is so old and outdated, the carpet is dirty, no water bottle, no hotel slipper/coat. The amenities is not complete.
Doesn't feel like staying in Disney hotel resort. Totally different with the one we stayed in other country.
Only the nice thing is the lobby. That's it.

Mr, my roommate, and some friends stared in a room with a standard view. The fact that we got a balcony still blew my mind, and the view we got made us feel like we were in a forest. There is too many great little things I could note and my review would be over a mile long, but that is the Disney difference. Staying on property versus at a hotel on Harbor or Katella made everything that much more convenient and magical.

Shout out to all the Cast Members who are there. Y'all are true magic makers, no matter what your role at the resort is. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

It was convenient, but otherwise not worth the money. I've stayed at some beautiful hotels all over the world. Glamorous hotels where I've had beautiful suites and they all cost less than this. I expected nicer rooms for that money.

The employees were kind and polite. They helped me with information I asked and maded sure I got what I need. The only thing I can say bad is an old man who worked the gate on Wednesday morning (8-4-21) needs to learn how to be polite to people who go through, he is very unprofessional.
Would love to stay there one day but can not afford it.

Absolutely amazing hotel! Stayed for 4 nights after buying some Disney Vacation Club points. Fabulous food, pool area is 5 stars, lots of nooks and crannies to explore, amazing staff, clean, and picture perfect. The best is the private entrance to Disney California Adventure (DCA) park and also a quick jaunt to Disneyland.

Tips - Relax on the deck overlooking the pool on the 5th floor in main lobby.

Check out DCA over in DVC building on the 6th floor observation deck.

Enjoy a drink poolside by the Craftsman Bar and Grill. The nachos could feed an entire family.

Fill up your water bottle with filtered water in the fitness center

Purchases from Downtown Disney can be delivered to your room and food can be ordered and sent to guest services

You can request a later check-out after 6 pm. Check out is normally at 11 but can be extended to noon.

You can contact guest services to participate in a “stretch in the park” inside of DCA at 6 am.

You can rent a poolside cabana with TV, fridge, safe, phone and ceiling fan. I believe it’s $185 for a full day but call to check.

Check out secret outdoor fireplace on the other side of the large lobby fireplace.

Can’t get into Napa Rose? Sit at the bar. Better yet, go to Carthay Circle lounge in DCA to get an even better drinks and apps.

Hearthstone Lounge is another beautiful, quiet spot to work or chill out in the hotel.

Stroll to Tangaroa Terrace and Trader Sams for amazing foods and drinks as well.

If you stay in the DIsney Vacation Club area like we did, you will have a mini kitchen. You can order groceries from Amazon Fresh since the hotel doesn’t have these items on hand.

Everyone from the parking attendant to receptionist made my family feel absolutely special. We arrived late and the entire check-in process was seamless. It was our first family trip in over a year and we couldn't have been happier with the choice. It was super convenient going to the parks, especially the adventure park. Only bummer was the restaurants were full (weekend) and our only option was the craftsman's, which was actually pretty good food. We did get to dine at the Napa Rose and it didn't disappoint. It was an amazing experience overall!

This was our first visit to Grand Califonian Hotel. I read a handful of negative reviews before our stay, and while I'm not one to take the time to do a review, I felt I had to.
The hotel was beautiful and the room was tastefully appointed and clean. The entire staff was fantastic and in "disney fashion" extremely friendly.
The main reason for my review is because there was an incident that happened and I won't go into details, but the way it was addressed and handled was far beyond my expectations! Nikki at the front desk and management went out of their way to resolve it and more than made up for it. I've stayed at many upscale Resorts/Hotels and I will JUST SAY THIS. My family and I agree, Grand Californian will ALWAYS be our hotel of choice for future trips to the "happiest place on earth". Thank you to all the staff there and those specifically that took care of us!

My husband and I went to Storybook cafe for dinner. The service and food was unbeatable! The inside of the Grand Floridian as we made our way to dinner was beautiful and we were a short walk away from the park after!

Disney rarely if ever disappoints, beautiful hotel, this evening we dined at Napa Rose always an exceptional experience. We are local but still enjoy staying here and have recently made reservations to return.

Beautiful hotel! We love the woodland ambiance and the arts and crafts style architecture and design. There are three lovely pools, one has a water slide for the kids. You can order food and drinks poolside from an excellent menu while you’re swimming. The Storyteller Cafe has an excellent menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and brunch on weekends. The hotel is conveniently located in Downtown Disney next to Disneyland and you can enter California Adventure Park directly from the hotel. We have stayed here several times and highly recommend this hotel!

Amazing lobby, bar, and restaurants. For my taste the Disneyland Hotel has a better pool (especially for kids with multiple waterslides). Prices have become astronomically high for what the rooms provided. Save your money for spending inside the parks and earn some hotel loyalty points while your at it. All the major chains are just up the street a quick bus ride, Lyft (or walk?) away for one third the cost.

The lobby is beautiful but that’s the only thing going for them. Everything smells like it’s 50 years old; mildew and dust. The beds are hard as rock and the gift shop is seriously lacking for a hotel. Bring your own snacks for sure. The rooms are extremely out dated and our bathroom had mold growing on the walls. We didn’t visit the pool. The staff is super nice and responsive. But you get that from every Disney member. Only reason to stay here would be the direct access to parks and downtown Disney, but if that’s not important to you and your hoping for luxury, save the $700 a night (standard room).

Very expensive but you get the full experience. The hotel is very impressive from the moment you walk in and having direct access to DCA is almost worth the price alone. It is a lot of money but it makes your life easier and that's means you can spend more time doing things you want to do. We did the character breakfast and it was great. The food was great and the characters were out every 15 mins.
