DLV Vision - Westlake Village

I was referred to Dr. Vosoghi to determine if I would benefit from a laser procedure. I checked out the website and saw great reviews and that they offer free consultations so I called. First off the agent asked for my insurance information which I assumed he verified. He then offered me an appointment for the very next day, which I thought was possibly incredible customer service, but I had an unsettling feeling about their immediate availability.

When I arrived the next day the first thing they did was charge me $100 upfront. I should have questioned it. Then a technician took me for the simple first test which she clearly lacked experience in. After 10 minutes she called in a coworker because she didn’t know how to operate the machine. I should have walked out at that point because after the coworker jumped in and ran that test, the new employee proceeded to perform all the rest and now I seriously doubted she knew what she was doing. Meanwhile, a previous patients’ exam remained on the screen displaying their PHI which is a major HIPAA violation. Anyhow, at least 30 minutes later, Dr. Vosoghi finally came in, assessed my eyes without any chance to ask me questions or answer my questions and just told me I need to immediately get this laser done and to warn my siblings and insisted that one of my parents passed on this condition. I left feeling not confident that I needed this surgery and ended up having 2 consultations elsewhere, to which neither said I needed it.

Of course then a claim went through my insurance for $1000 which wasn’t covered and apprently my responsibility to pay. Funny, since the 2 other doctors spent far more time really diving in for a second and third opinion with far more tests and neither billed insurance for a fraction that DLV did.

I tried reaching out to the billing department and nobody answers the phone. I emailed and texted too.

I was referred over to Dr. Doughtery for cross-linking procedure. His team is absolutely great and he always puts patient care first. He was very clear with communication and I am greatly to have worked with him.

His staff member Christina Simental was absolutely great to work with and she really made the process easy for me to understand. Thank you very much for making it a great experience, Christina!

I had a consultation via phone and they provided great service. They called my in advance and there was no wait time unlike other offices. They offered to give me much more information instead of sweeping it under the rug. I was informed about the risks and I feel much more comfortable about the procedure now that I know I’ll be in good hands. I plan on going forth with LASIK soon.

Dr Paul Dougherty did my LASIK recently, and I have to tell you.the experience was nothing short of exquisite. From beginning to end, he walked me through everything and it was seamless. Calm, cool, comfortable. Not to mention the staff made me feel right at home. I wouldn't trust my eyes with anyone else.

Lied about accepting my insurance then got smacked with a huge bill; was told they would fix it but keep getting invoices. Finally just paid and never went back. Spent barely 5 minutes with the doctor if that. Scam artist big box doctor office.

Don't get me wrong, but it's a good place and they don't work with you for your eye surgery date because the Doctor only works once of month of Wednesday's. I force one of my eyes to see because I got my right eye done. Now I need the left eye done and I get migraine headaches, & dizziness for awhile. They need to change the policy for eye surgery day's, not just Wednesday's only! Not happy at all.

Dr. Dougherty and his team were very efficient and professional. Everyone was super helpful and great at answering questions. I am very happy with my LASIK results and experience here.

I am writing to share my experiences with DLV. My mother now has 20/20 vision. I am so thankful that she was able to have her cataract surgery done with Dr. Chen at DLV, he is wonderful, very thorough very personable and takes his time and explains everything very well. Diana Andre was her patient counselor. She is amazing, kind, patient and took extra special care to help my mother set up all of her appointments, go over all of the insurance info, and help her pick the right technology. She is now completely glasses free for both distance and reading! She is so happy and So am I.

I am two months after ICL surgery here. I'd give 4.5 stars. Satisfied with the results so far, although it has taken awhile to adjust to bright lights, and I now have little halos around point sources of light that will be permanent (caused the hole in implanted lens).

What prevents this from being 5 stars is there was some contradictory pre-op information. On the green prescription sheet, it said to start taking some eyedrops before the operation, but on another pre-op PDF it said not to start until after the operation. In general, the pre-op instructions are kind of overwhelming and could use some editing and simplification that would make them easier to follow.

My visit with DLV Vision was amazing. The girls in the front desk were so sweet and greeted me well. My surgery went smoothly and Dr. Balakrishnan as well as the surgical staff that were a part of my surgery were very comforting through it all.

Dr. Dougherty was extremely professional, supportive and attentive to all the details and questions I asked. I had an RLE surgery, which replaced my natural lens with new ones. This was more than just a LASIK and I am a very curious person. Dr. Dougherty was very patient and answered everything well beyond my satisfaction.

The surgery went really well and I could tell he was very practiced in this type of procedure. He walked me through everything he was doing and reassured me if I got anxious.

Post-surgery, I was very satisfied. My eyes started healing very quickly and by day 4 I was able to see really clearly. I went in diagnosed as technically legally blind and had a super high glasses subscription. One week after the surgery my follow-up eye exam showed I had 20/15 in my right eye and 20/20 in my left eye. The results were beyond my expectations and I am still getting used to not having to wear glasses or contacts.

Thank you Dr. Dougherty for the life changing experience and giving me vision that was better than I could ever imagine.

I got LASIK surgery at DLV Westlake Village The LASIK surgery was smooth and Dr. Pham is great. The team member for surgery were quite new and had few issues when setting up for the surgery though they were friendly and courteous. Other employees has been okay but Dr. Pham does deserve 5 stars but overall experience was average.

This review is for the Camarillo office. I went in for a test early on Saturday morning and the 2 ladies there were so lovely! I loved my technician and the front desk lady was very pleasant as well. The office is beautifully decorated and I was in and out very quickly. Very happy!

I paid 100 dollars for this place but they dont tell me if my eye sight is the same precription i had before, i have to go to a optometrist to find out what my eye sight is?

There was quite a wait. The prelim.tests were OK but after those, the wait for Dr.was a bit irriltating. Maybe 45 minutes. Otherwise, visit went acceptably.

Staff is helpful. Doctor Vosoghi found a problem that optomotist dont see. I am getting a treatment to prevent glaucoma. Today i get the other eye done. I will post again in a month to update. I would reccomend this place and they take most insurance.
Hours of procedures seem to be mornings only so you can expect to visit early am.

Great experience! Clean facility, friendly staff. Always in and out on time. I saw Dr. Vosoghi and he was great.
