Dollar General Market, Ripon CA

I live here in ripon so there really isn’t much options for grocery stores or just stores in general to go to. So with that you would think this store would be on it and just be full of nice people since it’s such a small town. That’s not the case, managers are never happy or helpful and the employees just look intimidated the entire time they are working. I feel bad for them! They are nervous to even ask a manager to void out a purchase and for a manager to give a look to a customer because they changed their mind is just crazy. I drive all the way into Manteca or Modesto now rather than go to this store! I also filed a complaint to corporate office because no one should have to work in such a hostile environment that’s why you guys have had hiring signs so long. Bunch of rude and unhappy people here our little town deserves better.

There’s a bunch of young people that are so rude every time someone will walk in the door this girl being a cashier was just talk a lot of nonsense about that very unprofessional if she don’t like her job why is she there couldn’t get her name she didn’t have a name tag.lately I been seeing more of young ones like that

Long lines with one checker many times, I still go there because of the great prices, and location convenience

The one in ripon is a nice clean quiet store definitely worth driving a little farther to shop in this location i live in Modesto and definitely appreciate this store compared to others

I had never been to any Dollar General store before, and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The produce looked fresh. The aisles were clutter free. Nice selection of coffee creamer!

Has great deals and they always have fresh fruit available. I know I can always come here if I need anything & they are pretty friendly.

This is my neighbor grocery + store and I shop there at least once each week. Staff very helpful, nice produce section, variety of stock good and well maintained. I'd recommend this store anytime!

Great for quick in and out buys or just the small stuff. They have gotten lot of cute home dec lately too!

Out of all the stores around "winco, food 4 less, food max, several meat markets even, and even save mart.this store is ridiculous.the store I go to on a regular basis is located in Ripon California. 1201 W main st.sometimes the prices are decent but I was shocked to see that during covid, the price for ground beef went up from 9 dollars to 18 dollars for a roll.now, save mart is the most expensive place i go there seldomly as the prices are high, but even save mart, does not have 18 dollar ground beef for what use to be 9 dollars.and the only response i could get from anyone in the store was that because of covid there is a shortage on product and so they had to raise the prices. OK well, winco, food 4 less, food max, and save mart Costco.several meat markets.all sell beef at the same price not 18 dollars.but around 9 for that same amount.if supply is so low.why didn't it go up anywhere else except here at dollar general? This is completely absurd there is no excuse for this, out of all times to raise prices, dollar general decides to do it during a nation wide crisis to raise the prices.take advantage of all those people durring this crisis by jacking up the prices. I wont be back.this is outrageous. I can just imagine the newspapers front page title "local dollar general located in Ripon, rips off customers during nation wide crisis by doubling the cost of food" I'll be taking my money to savemart, they have cheaper beef.also unrelated to the beef cost at this location, I also noticed a review from a customer saying the place is filthy, and not well maintained pretty much, I'd like to add to that review, the pee toilet doesn't flush and hasn't in a while, they never put soap in the dispenser and the restrooms are dirty.

I love this dollar general! The employees are cheerful and helpful, and the prices are great. Except for milk. Why is their milk so expensive?

Recently remodeled but they still have the same terrible management. The manager should be required to take some serious customer service training

Wish they would keep better track of there shopping carts. Live 7 blocks from store & have there carts on my yard Always!
