Dollis - Breakfast Restaurant, Covina CA

This place now has at least 3 ghost kitchens included, with two of them also being breakfast only. Now one for "dirty burgers". That's crazy for a place that's only open until 1 or 2pm. Focus on one kitchen.

My first time. Great experience. The young lady out front who took my order was very helpful. Will be back!

Bacon was a bit burnt and I didn't receive my toast till I was more than half way through my meal.food was ok.

Great reviews on burritos is what brought me here. They're not wrong. Got the supreme which has all the meats and a chorizo one. Really good. However, pricey. Came out to 30 bucks for those 2 with tax. I'm still new to the area so that for me is a lot. I'm used to paying 8-10 bucks per burrito.

Dolly's is average breakfast decent cost. Pretty basic All-American flare. Zucchini bread is super dense almost like a gluten-free bread.

The restaurant is so focused on take out that the tables were set with prepackaged everything - I'm talking ketchup, salt, pepper, tapatio, Cholula, and syrup. This did not give much of a welcoming vibe.

The pancakes were some of the worst I ever had. They were thick and dense. They were not fluffy or airy like a typical pancake but heavy and dense.

After reviewing the photos I see that my pancake was SO DIFFERENT like it came from another restaurant. The ones in the photos look epic and the one I got looked manufactured fresh out of an easy bake oven.

The Dolli's breakfast - home fries were good, fresh red and green bell peppers. Eggs were cooked well. Sausage was what it typically is -just sausage.

I swapped my pancakes for toast and it was ok. How can toast be ok? They only buttered one side and the other was bone dry. I was over it and didn't want to spend another minute there because the experience was eh.

My boyfriend got the French toast and enjoyed it. He also got the supreme breakfast burrito and it was really good. The tater tots gave it a nice crunch. They offered salsa Verde with the burrito but I overheard the waitress telling someone else they have a red sauce as well.

Great atmosphere, clean and bright. Wonderful staff and service. Food was delicious and affordable. They are open from 7 am until 2 pm.

We love to eat out for breakfast and decided to try Dollis for the first time and unfortunately will be our last. My all meat omelet was very dry not much cheese at all and the meat didn’t taste good. The hash browns were very greasy and thin not a lot of potato so you only tasted the greasy grill. The worst part was the biscuit and gravy was terrible. My biscuit was hard to cut with my fork and it came out cold. Will not be going there again.

I just recently had breakfast here 5/22/2023 and was pretty disappointed in the food. The location is great and the service was good. Unfortunately the Chicken Fried Steak felt like it might have been previously frozen and the hash browns were on the greasy side. I am tempted to give this place a 2 star rating but honestly there isn't much we enjoyed about this place. I wont be returning but will check back and see if the reviews improve and maybe try it again in a year or two if it makes some spectacular turn around. Service was good and the seating area is ample and plenty of windows to enjoy but the food just sucks. Best of luck Dollis hopefully the leadership team there makes some changes so you can maintain a customer base. I don't like writing a poor review but. THE END

Place is awesome was really quick, food is better than I expected. I should have came here when I still lived out here.

Food was terrible. Bland, very little flavor. A simple drink/coffee will run you 5-6$. Got a plate and the rice was days old, beans were canned and bad. The salsa they use to cook Mexican food is store bought (not even the good kind (maybe el paso salsa for chips). Only good thing was that it was fairly empty. Even with a big party (over 300$ spent) we had to ask for basics like water and coffee. Any other burger restaurant like Tom's surpasses this restaurant

Love Dollies! We go there almost every week! I love variety and usually can't order the same thing twice much less visit the same restaurant more than once a month. But ever since we discovered this little gem, I have ordered the same thing EVERY SINGLE time we go there. I order their Dollies Special with 2 eggs over easy, 1 bacon, 1 sausage, a bowl of their fresh fruit, and zucchini bread. It's so incredibly delicious! Most restaurants say there are no substitutions, but Dollies always aims to please their customers.
My only regret is they started closing at 1pm, instead of 2p. I know the restaurant business is very competitive, but I wonder if the owner is doing all he can to draw customers in. I never see Dollies advertised, no coupons issued, no frequent visitor cards, no specials posted on their restaurant windows, no Chef Specials, no flyers placed on car windshields in their little strip mall, no mailed flyers, no advertisements in city magazines announcing their business, no nothing. It's sad when customers notice.
We LOVE our servers. They are SO sweet, friendly and efficient. I think they love it when it's busy because it keeps them busy and they're able to make a decent living.
I would love to share this with the owner, but he probably doesn't pay much attention to reviews about his business. He might not see it as important. I know successful business pay attention to what their customers are saying. I just hope they don't close because for me, they're the best kept secret.

My family will not be returning to this restaurant. The service was not good. We weren't checked on to see of we needed anything else like coffee or drinks. The food was terrible! It was $15.00 for a breakfast burrito when it was not worth it at all. The sausage was tasting funny a d it was not cooked all the way. It was $55 for 3 people when i could of bought everything and cooked it on my own and it would have tasted better. Very disappointed

Great food value and friendly customer service. The place is a tad dated, but it is clean and the coffee is piping hot and fresh. A great place e to start your day.

Great service when you dine in but not when you call for take out. They only prioritize dining customer.
