The food at Doll's is great, except the greens were sweet. Not used to that when it comes to homemade greens. I loved the fried catfish and the mac was good. The biggest complaint I have is the service. The personnel is not very friendly. They aren't mean but not very friendly either. The cashier gave me the amount that was owed for the food and reached out her hand for my money but because she turned her head to talk to another employee, she didn't realize I had my hand out right in front of her where she initially had her hand. It took her at least 2-3 minutes before she realized I was standing there with the money in my hand. When she did look back at me she had a snare on her face and was clearly irritated. I told her, I've been standing here trying to give her the money for a while. She never responded, didn't apologize and didn't say thank you. I instantly regretted coming here for the second time. The first visit was similar when it came to the service. Let's not even talk about the time it took to get my food.

Purchased wings and fried shrimp for a family of three. Sides included greens, yams, Mac and cheese and corn bread. Desserts were chocolate cake and another I can’t remember. We were traveling back to S. F.after watching a women’s volleyball game and sat in the parking lot for at least 10 minutes trying everything. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service and overall taste of everything, believe me I tasted a little of all the plates. Great spot and will recommend to anyone rolling through Fresno.

The food is good especially the fish and mac n cheese but call and order ahead or you’ll be waiting a good 30 minutes or more.

They have all the traditional African American dishes, ribs, chicken, shrimp, yams, greens, beans

I go there just for the fish and rice&gravy.

Mama cooks in the back, she's a big Cowboy fan.

Cashier was rude. Took forever to get my food. Cashier always on phone while food was ready to be given out.

Gloria is an exceptionally hospitable person! She makes her customers feel like they're having a meal in her home.

The food is outstanding! Definitely do yourself a favor and have the Mac and Cheese. You won't be disappointed. Delicious soul food to make you feel like you're having good, home cooking.

Fish was crazy amazing. Shrimp was perfectly seasoned. Omgosh the greens! My son ate all the mac & cheese and cornbread. I didn't get any of that.

I ordered the smothered pork chops with greens and potato salad. Melt in your mouth delicious! Did not have to add any seasoning. The greens were spicy just right, the temperature of the food was right on time and the taste; well it met and exceeded my expectations! Had to order another plate to go for later!

Was craving some soul food after watching some videos on YouTube. This little place popped up and decided to give it a go. Son and I got fried chicken with fries, collard greens and spaghetti. Everything was delicious. The ladies working the front and the owner were super sweet and friendly. As we sat she asked if it was our first time.we said yes and she kindly gave us a sample of her banana pudding cake. I almost had tears in my eyes.because she reminded me of my own grandmother, absolutely lovely people, place and food. This place deserves all the love.

The food is good. They didn't have catfish the day I was there. They recommended a fish similar to catfish. It was good, but not catfish. Call ahead if you want catfish. I saw a bowl of rice and gravy on the way out that looked heavenly.

The Negative: The TV over the counter was as loud as possible. The woman behind the coutner was sullen and bored and didn't care that we couldn't hear each other. Maybe it was a race thing? Doll came out of kitchen mid-meal and she was delightful.

Overall: 4 plus for food and 2 minus for the sullen counter service.

What a rude woman at the register! I would never come here to actually eat I was picking up a delivery order and small order and was waiting a very long time and she never once gave me any kind of update. Horrible customer service

Owner very nice. Other staff should smile. Food was very good service was quick. It was very cold inside the restaurant the fans were too high. We had a great time, and we will definitely be back.

Dolls food was DELICIOUS! Fish, chicken n macaroni n cheese lovely, and miss Doll is a true doll

Loved loved loved this meal! Restaraunt was clean staff was friendly, food was amazing! I wish the place was bigger so my whole family could fit in it. I was especially impressed with the greens everything was delicious!
