Having been living in Domain for about 4 months. Overall great experience with some minor issues. Here are my ideas:

Pros:
1. Staff are very responsive and friendly. In addition, they did a great job during COVID-19 to keep the community safe and running.
2. Amenities are good, even though I only used them for a short time due to COVID-19. Locker box for package is very convenient.
3. Everything inside the unit looks new and clean, really like the stainless steel appliances.
4. Temperature in the common area of buildings are comfortable. Inside of the building is always clean.
5. Really enjoyed the patio.

Cons:
1. Noise. At the beginning I lived in an unit near N 1st Street, the traffic is very noisy, especially when modified cars with loud exhaust driving by. It is very common in the night, even double pane windows will not work.
2. Insulation is not that good. I can hear everything from my neighbors, loud talking/music, walking on the stairs, slamming the cabinet door, etc. Every morning I got waken up by the heavy steps from upstairs.
3. Gas stove fire is weak, not like typical gas stoves. Not good for saute.
4. Toilet flush is too strong, always splash out if I do not control the flow. Looks like it is a common issue here.

Overall it is a great community, enjoyed living here so far.

I’ve moved in about 2 months ago and everything from the tour to move in was nice and easy! We worked with Irving and he was so attentive and informative throughout the entire process. I filled out the online inquiry and the next day I heard from Irving and we schedule a time to self tour a few units. We quickly new this is where we wanted to move so Irving helped us get the application and move in paper work done and we were moved in within the next week. We have a 2 bed townhome unit with the roof top deck and love it. The only downside is the closet space, there isn’t a downstairs hall closet or upstairs closet for extra stuff but we’re making it work. The rooftop is great for late night dinners too. Because of Covid we haven’t seen the gym or used the pool. So far it’s been pretty quiet and the location is great! We can walk to target quickly and Safeway is just a few minutes away!

In 2015/2016 my bike was stolen and my motorcycle was stolen and they did barely nothing about it.

I have been living in domain for a year and just renewed my lease for another year. The experience here is very good. The service is in time and the people in the leasing office are very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend for guys who are looking for a decent place to live.

Worst ever - no phone number to call if you need some help - all closed and you only can call central office who knows nothing and can only creae tickets for local staff - ignored mostly, i would never recommend for anybody

Love my apartment, been here almost 3 years! The townhouse layout is great. The staff is very helpful and friendly. And Desiree JUST did me a huge favor and helped me get back into my locked apartment (with keys inside). Not the first time she (or others on the team) have gone above and beyond.

I lived at Domain for two years. I first learned about it through a friend who lived there since its completion. I both enjoyed visiting and living there because of the kind and helpful staff, the modern and clean design, and the amenities, such as the gym, pool, and BBQ areas. I moved out of my apartment this past September due to my roommate moving and my work, however, I would move back in a heartbeat under the right circumstances. I highly recommend Domain to friends and family looking for an apartment in the area. Thank you.

A really clean and peaceful apartment complex. We found one of the most amazing 3bed 3bath layout which benefited us - a very crucial deciding factor for us.
Luxer one for Fedex/UPS and mailbox for USPS facility as well.

While I like the overall apartment floor plans and designs, my living experience here has been a disaster. Security is the most frustrating part - I feel like this place has been targeted for robbery and burglary.

1. My apartment was burglarized couple month ago, and house key and car key were stolen, which resulted a complete crash of my car, huge financial loss. Both police and I asked the management office to share with the communities about this incident, but being completely ignored. During the day of the incident, management was just not available until the next day even after my multiple attempts to reach out. The house lock was only replaced the next day evening after running to the office several times that day. The major problem is that they just leave the apartment entrance from the garage open, and this is still not addressed even today.

2. Earlier this year, my car was broken-in and my valuables got stolen in the garage.

Other issues,

1. First day of moving in, I had to run around to find a parking space in rain while I was totally exhausted after the whole moving-in effort. My parking lot was taken because the office just assigned mine to someone else. Even after reporting the issue more than couple times, the issue wasn’t resolved until the next day.
2. There have been more than 30+ maintenance requests that I opened less than a year. Broken things here and there.just too many to list all…

Good apartments but very noisy neighbors at nights and security doesnt answer phones or doesn't do anything. People party and scream till 3am and nothing could be done.: (

They rip you off when moving out with no reasons provided. Also, the management is really rude and not helpful at all (I think they have a new management now, so hopefully thats better now)

Recently removed out Domain. I have lived here for 1 year. And here is my experience:
1. The first day we moved in, we had to run to the office 3 times to get our car parked in a parking space that nobody else claimed it was assigned to them. This was very frustrating on our moving day!
2. Second car parking is on the street and was totally a disaster. Most of time my husband had to drive around and around to wait for someone to leave and then park on the street. And one day we got a ticket from police department because police put no parking sign for an event. It ended with us paying $800 to get our car back.
3. Even though we have a parking slot in the garage, we were assigned too far from our apartment. Carrying a baby and groceries to home is totally no fun. I went to the office a couple of time with hope that they could get one closer to our building. The answer is no and they said it's not fair to assign a closer one to me! Seriously? ! Do I care if it's fair? You messed up the parking assignment and then if I ask for correction, it's my fault? !
4. After a few days we moved in, a mouse visited to our apartment, my baby almost played with it!
5. Our package was open and found downstairs. Somebody must stole it and found out nothing interesting and left it.
6. Stinky feet smell on the carpet the day we moved in, it was definitely not washed! Stains on the carpet and cabinets. However, you are supposed to wash the carpet and clean everything even the window in order to avoid any charges. We kept our apartment clean all the time. And I also spent the whole day to clean the apartment when we move out and my husband spent hours to paint to avoid any charges. We still got $400 bill for paint and cleaning.
7. A few days before we moved out, someone tried to break into our apartment! Luckily My husband saw the door nob was moving and he immediately went there to ask who is there. That person run away. There was a couple of police officers around our building that night. We even wanted to stay in a hotel before we move.

I can continue with this list but I think you get an idea. Of course, everyone's experience is different. There is bright side like good location. Easy access to 237. I think that's it! This is what 1 star for.

Domain Leasing agent, Lalita, is very helpful with move-in process. After I move-in, I find the pet stain on my carpet which carpet cleaner was not able to remove, but she arranged to replace it with new carpet. Overall my happy with my experience at Domain.

Overall a pretty good deal considering this is Silicon Valley. There are some problems with crime but not anymore. It's a pretty new apartment and so everything works and is nice. Very good workout room and club house.

Ants, rats, brown water from cleaning the water heater time to time without notice, poor management. Specifically manager Vivian has poor communication skills. Find elsewhere this place may be a tad cheaper but don't risk it

Very nice apartments here! Staffs are friendly and buildings are really secure! Much better priced than those in Mountain View.

After visiting Domain I immediately decided it was the place for me. Dan from leasing office was so attentive to our needs, from viewing a unit to signing our lease, Dan was a pleasure. Customer service is superior and the conveniency of being around a shopping center that has Target, CVS, and countless dining choices is unbeatable, not to mention the brand new park opening up next door! I'm definitely looking forward to living here:)

Great Staff and Great Location. The apartments are town home style so you can get some privacy if you need to. I am happy to call Domain my 2nd home.

Going on my 3rd Year with the Domain Community and have not regretted one single day. I am in my 3rd apartment now as I have been able to transfer as my needs have changed. The fact that they are pet friendly is amazing and my dog Champion can agree. The staff is great and the location is ideal. Maintenance does a great job of leaving things how they found them as well. Thank you for all you do Team Domain!

Regards,

Dan
