Don Felix Restaurant reviews
16Quick to sit down and to be served, I went during a lunch period so the coffee was nice and so were the people, I see why this is my boyfriends favorite spot, I had the fried beef over rice and it was pretty filling
This food use to be good. Today after a long time i got lomo saltado de carne hardly any meat and now costs $20 dls for only onion, Service it's not that good either I ask cashier for more chilli he just gave me a look. Never again not worth it this is the one on Virgil and temple
The food was delicious, (I think it's safe to say Peruvians rarely disappoint when it comes to food), the service was phenomenal, the restaurant itself is humble and in a small business center making it a little hard to spot. There was a wait when we got there. Definitely recommend! I will be back.
The food here is very good! My steak was well seasoned and not over cooked, the rice was delicious and had the right hint of butter without being overpowering, and the plantains were sweet and was a good contrast between the savory. The portion was not skimpy at all and I got full without even finishing it. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone willing to try something a little different and new!
Terrible food and restaurant.they also don't understand what a service dog is or how to verify it. So if you want to sue an establishment in violation of federal disability access laws come here and try to eat their greasy food.
Everything fine but i ask if they can cange a steak for fish and they dont want but over all its fine
My friend brought me for the 1st time at this restaurant although, I been to one before so far this one their food is very tasty, everything is fresh. Totally recommend the Pollo Saltado fried and chicken well done. Everything so juicy and tasty.
The "ceviche" was very bad and acid and if you wanna a change for a another food, they didn't change it.
The best Peruvian restaurant Lomo saltado dish & kusco beer and so many more delicious dishes, I recommend.
Still one of my favorite Peruvian restaurants in L. A. Great authentic food with some of the fairest prices.
Prices have gone up, but still the best Peruvian restaurants we've visited. The plates are well served, with lots of meat in the Lomo; and the Choros (mussels) are served on the half-shell with tons of garnish and authentic Peruvian chili sauce.
It was good but not like el Rocoto, the steak seemed a bit low quality and it didn't have the seared texture of steak, fire grilled-flipped in a wok. Other than that it was alright.
Big portions, good service, excellent pricing. You get what you pay with this restaurant. Just be careful with the bread since you can fill up before the food comes out. Some may complain about the wait, but considering how good it is. The food is worth the wait.
The service was the only highlight. Waiter was very friendly and helpful. Food was bland and overpriced. Lomo saltado was a major let down. Tallarines con Camaron also had no flavor. Was really looking forward to taste Peruvian cuisine. It baffles me how this restaurant has any business
Great food and very reasonable prices. The Lomo saltado is the best dish I tried there, highly recommend. Also the ceviche is a great appetizer. I recommend coming here.
Gotta say, price is pretty high up there for the restaurant's general presentation and service.and flies. That sign inside above the bathroom, the photo shown, i almost forgot where i was at. Service was only twice, to order and to serve, we were parched. Uncle had to get up to ask for water to the table. Probably more focused on closing the doors for the day. And still more than half the restaurant finishing their meals. Their IncaCola in the gold can was pretty good, but im a little biased. ColaChampagne forever!
Oh Parking hahahaha, goodluck!
Now the food.
Lomo Saltado de Carne is the fav according to the restaurant, even with a little heart in the menu. Honestly, over rated. After witnessing the carb overload of both fries and rice, having tased it, it's just Beef Fajitas in extra starches. The seafood version had just as little meats too. And i consciously say "carb overload" ordering the noodle dish. The Tallarin De Mariscos was absolutely delicious, and had plenty of seafood protiens to compliment the veggies and the noodles. It was so good, I was the only one in my family to finish my plate. Yes, offense. We also ordered Sopa de Choros, which apparently was significantly less creamier than before. Needles to say, that wasn't finished either.
Can't say i will be going out of my way to come back. If anything, seafood noodle dish to go please.
Side note if you do visit. Buy some candies from the sweet lady outside. Chamoy pops over those free mints any day.
