What can I say other than this place feels like home. Old-school, authentic vibe. Very clean. Same people working each time I’ve been here. The gentleman is friendly and wonderful. They actually care and you can tell by the service, unlike a lot of my experiences everywhere else (non-restaurants included) these days. And don’t even get me started on the habañero salsa. Best I’ve ever had and it’s not even close. Every time I’m in La Cañada, I come here. And I always will. Keep up the great work!

Happily as of May 2023 they have reopened for in store dinning. This time I tried the camerones tampico and was very pleased. Generous helping with typical sides. More authentic than the local competition. Please tip generously and support this fine place or we will lose it.

My family and I were in the neighborhood and wanted a place to eat dinner. We found Dona Maria Mexican Restaurant and stopped in. The service was excellent! The salsa was delicious and the chips were warm and tasty. The food was great! We all chose something different and each of us enjoyed our meal. We will go again if in the area.

Although I ordered beef and chicken crispy tacos, mini burritos, and a few other dishes for takeout, nothing really impressed me about this restaurant. I'm surprised it received 4.5 stars from 208 reviews because I found it to be quite ordinary.

On the positive side, their website was easy to use, and the restaurant had plenty of parking. The service was also nice.

I visited the restaurant on a Saturday around lunchtime, and it was pretty quiet. While I waited for about 10-15 minutes, only one table was dining in, and one to-go order was taken. The notice on their website indicates that it would take 30~45 min. I'm not sure why it took so long when the business was slow.

Great food and amazing service. The restuarant just now in Feb of 2023 has finally opened its doors for dine in orders post covid. The inside is old and has obviously not been maintained/renovated. Asthecially the interior leave much to be desired. Also it is very small inside, not the best place for large groups. Otherwise, this place is great.
