We’re so glad we found Donna and selected her to sell my mothers property. We met with a few different realtors at the time, but we chose Donna not only for her knowledge and expertise in selling Laguna Woods properties, but primarily because of her warmth during a challenging time for us. When Donna became my realtor for purchasing a unit in Laguna Woods, I was totally inexperienced in the real estate process. I was already familiar with the various Laguna Woods models, but Donna listened to why I liked specific models, enabling her to present other available models that also might meet my needs. Donna sent new and updated listings pertaining to my preferences when they became available.

Once I had an offer accepted, Donna (1) patiently guided me through all the steps required in a timely manner; (2) provided me with names of inspectors she was familiar with that she trusted; (3) met with the inspector I had selected for the inspection when I had an emergency and could not get there; (4) negotiated a "home warranty protection plan"; and (5) arranged for a notary within minutes when the one I was supposed to use fell through.

Donna also has a tremendous amount of knowledge about the community rules, what you can / can't do to your unit without "permission". She also is aware of upgrades that will either enhance or reduce future value.

If I decide to sell some day, I definitely plan to work with Donna. I have seen models she is selling, and her staging ideas / suggestions to really show a unit at it's best.

In past home purchases we have been involved in, I have been disappointed in the work and effort put into the transaction AFTER we opened escrow. It seems those other realtors see this as a point they can “hand-off” the sale to some new staffer in the office to allow the realtor to follow up with new customer leads and focus on other customers who were not yet “locked” in escrow. As a buyer, this lack of service seemed like a betrayal of trust as the escrow process can present issues that often come up at the last minute and require some timely follow up on the part of the realtor to get the escrow closed on time.

I am very pleased to let you know that Donna Empfield did not behave as those others did. Donna exceeded all of our expectations of a professional realtor. She always communicated in a timely manner during the entire process, even being available on the weekend during the last two days of escrow to call the escrow agent, when the escrow office was closed, and get the closing amount that was needed to be wired to escrow over the weekend so escrow could close on Monday.
