11Love the doughnuts. The old fashioned are really good. They are open round the clock on the weekends. If you want them on the weekdays get there early
Usually would do 5 stars, because as pedestrian and a bit run down as Donut Wheel appears, they are the best donuts in the Bay Area, and we try every donut place we come across. Ditch the gourmet expensive ones that are popping up all over. THESE are REAL donuts.but last night they were out of some of our favorite donuts. Hence the 4 stars.
I understand. It's a small family operation like Liguria Bakery in SF. They run out. So be prepared to not have you first choice if you're there late Saturday night. Still worth the trip if you're in the Livermore area, or passing by on 580 to the Sierras or to home.

Update July 1,2023. We still believe in the wheel. It's a family operation and they do have staffing issues on occasion. While listed closed at 10pm Saturday night, they're only closing long enough for the clerk to get his father in law and they will be open all Saturday night long. Ask the clerks for updates on hours. Things do change.
Remember, the early birds get the stuffed donut holes.
Please patronize a great family owned place. Covid screwed things up and more sales will help out. More donuts equals more smiles
We love hometown donut feel. A trip back home to Livermore not complete without donut wheel.
Where else can you get something 24hrs? If you're lucky you just might get to try the donuts when they are hot and fresh. There's nothing like a hot fresh donut, and nobody in the bay makes them hot and fresh.

It wasn't crowded. They were out of a few varieties because of the time I went. The donuts are delicious.
Got dozen, asked to pick for me, donuts not good at all. Don't waste money 7 eleven donut better lol.

Good buttermilk donuts, last visit only old-fashioned available, no buttermilk bars, some of the best buttermilk donuts in the area.
