$7 entrance fee. A lot of people. A lot of space dedicated to campers and rv people. Day use area is a small corner of this peninsula. Bathrooms are dirty. Beach had dead seaweed washed up with a ton of flies not suitable for kids to play on. It was a huge bummer for the kids. And on top of that, crabbing from the jetties produced zero! I don't plan on going back for a long time, if at all.

If you are visiting Sonoma County then you need to take the time to drive out to Doran beach. Beat time is in the winter when the wind is not as strong, but if visiting in the summer just be prepared for some sand in your face.

Great place for a day trip, just keep in mind that a day pass is $7. Dog friendly, and there's enough space all over so that there's separation between groups; no over crowding, at least when we were there today.

If you're looking for a beach (and you are willing to pay to enter) this is a good spot to hang with plenty of space to keep away from other groups. If you'd prefer to hike around and explore, the free parking and amazing views at Bodega Head are where to go!

Fantastic Campground near the end of the road on the peninsula. There is a skunk hole near the edge of tent spot C in the Campground so be aware. He/ she came by to inspect my tent at least 2 times during the night. I was only 20 feet from their front door tho. I moved my tent a bit and it seemed appeased. Did not bother us other than when it startled us from 10-15 feet away but it stayed pretty chill. Campground area is amazing tho. Clean bathrooms

This beach and park is super nice and laid back water was calm, not to windy. Dogs are allowed must be on leash though. I let mine off the leash for a little while and no one was irritated.

This place has always held a special place in my heart. I just love the beach and flying my stunt kite here like I used to with my brother-in-law years ago. Just something special about this beach though that keeps me dreaming of my next trip back.

Great place for the family. Dry camping, campgrounds are well maintained, clean restrooms, beautiful views and close walk to the beach.

Great place to put your kayak in. Ramp at the side of the boat launch pier is amazing. Then paddle in the early morning while the fog burns off, and see white and brown pelicans, gbh, LBJ's (little brown jobs), and then realize the fog is burning off. Great start to a day.

Camping by tent and spending the day at the beach or under the gnarly trees, at Doran Park is wonderful. The rangers frequently drive in each area, making sure the park is clean and safe. I recommend Doran Park to campers of all ages.

One of my favorite beaches, my husband and I go several times a month to sit and watch the view. The waves are very small making it safe for people to play near the water.

Had a ton of fun. Some nice picnic tables, and decent bbq sets. A bit crowded for my taste, but not so much so that you are unable to find a place to chill. Can wade out into the water safely, fly a kite, and hang out with friends. Love it!

My family and I love this beach. We always get oysters from Bodega Bay oyster company and enjoy them while taking in the views this beach has to offer.

Campsites need to be updated with new asphalt around the sites, and some sites they cut the legs off of the old tables but left 2-3 inches of the legs sticking up. Very dangerous tripping hazard!
