It came up as a reminder on my Timehop that one year ago today I was released from the hospital after having fairly major surgery, which was performed by Dr. Alexander Gershman.
There were multiple procedures needed and Dr. Gershman was able to repair each of my conditions in one surgical event.
I was a little traumatized by having to go home with a catheter for a couple of days, but I survived (glad that's over).
Exactly a year later and my bladder sling is incredibly well supported. I feel so much better and I'm able to go out and attend fun events without having to run to the restroom every five minutes. That alone feels miraculous!
Dr. Gershman and his entire staff are wonderful. They're very organized, knowledgeable and kind. Any tests that may be required are actually done on site; unbelievably convenient. Irena made sure that all of my pre-op needs and fears were taken care of!
Post surgery, every single time that the attending physician or nurses had to call Dr. Gershman with a question or concern, he answered his phone immediately. I NEVER felt that I had been abandoned.
Surgery was scary, but we got through it and I'm so happy that I had it done. It has made such a difference in my life.
I am truly grateful for Dr. Gershman and his team for taking such great care of me and continuing to follow-up on my condition.

Dr. Alexander Gresham is a life saver literally! I wouldn’t be alive if it weren’t for his services. He accomplished 3 successful surgeries on me. If you’re looking for a urologist with experience that knows what he is doing based off his knowledge and innovative thinking you are at the right place! I was referred to Dr. Gershman for a kidney removal surgery. Dr. Gershman did a through exam and then sat with my wife and I to explain the upcoming procedure and answered all of our questions. After addressing all our concerns he escorted us over to the office of his surgical coordinator, Irina, to get us scheduled for surgery. Irina was very courteous and professional and provided all the details regarding the surgery. On the day of the surgery, Dr. Gershman met with my wife and I prior to the procedure and then spoke to my wife after the procedure to let her know of the successful outcome. When I had my post op appointment, I was again treated with the highest form of professionalism. From my very first visit I felt like I was in very good hands and that feeling has never waivered. I would highly recommend Dr. Gershman and his staff.
