Really disappointed in the service around warranty. I bought super expensive transition lens, and somehow they are now stained and permanently transitioned. Called for help, no offer to help. This is a lab issue.

Easily the best doctor I've ever had for a complicated set of eyes. Yes, Dr. Leonard himself has keratoconus which puts him in a unique position to understand patient needs. But what that also means is that Dr. Leonard stays ahead of the curve on investing in cutting edge technologies to get the best lens fits, prescribes the leading medications for treating issues, and is knowledgeable on the latest research for ameliorating the effects of a disease that doesn't have to be life altering if properly addressed. That it will be treated properly as it progresses is far from a given, as any keratoconus patient knows.

The staff is expert too. They're super responsive, know the ins and outs of insurance (its own nightmare), and are accommodating. I feel fortunate to have come across such a great practice. While I'm rarely there because everything is going swimmingly, I always know that my eyes will be in a better place after a visit.

Dr. Leonard was my family Optometrist for many years until the Covid-19 rules came out on place. Before you could make and appointment either same day or within a Week. Now, if you lucky, they can give you an appointment in 2 months. Ridiculous!

I have keratoconus; these lenses are the most comfortable and give the best vision out of everything I've tried (including Laserfit and Eyeprintpro). The team also work really hard and give the best care I've had at a great price point. Thank you.

I no longer live in this area, I moved to Larchmont Village but I still travel to Dr. Leonard because the care and service is excellent! I can get all of my optometry needs there including glasses and contact lens. Everyone is knowledgeable and helpful. I didn't have an appointment the other day to shop for glasses and they still accommodated me. Special shout out to Missony, the assistant manager, that helped me save a lot on my frames by discovering coverage I didn't know I even had in with my insurance. He also helped me order frames that I have been eyeing for a year that were no longer on display. He made my Spring.

Dr. Leonard is the best and the staff as well. Always professional and both doctors is always on point. I only trust my eyes to them and so should you. Thanks to all of you for being there when I most needed you. But due to me moving out of state, I can no longer see them. Thanks and God Bless!

I’ve been a client/patient/fan for over 30 years. Dr. Leonard and his amazing staff (including Dr. Javier Villalobos) provide genuine care with the latest ‘state of the art’ eye exam technology and wonderful human compassion. I’ve referred hundreds of people over the years. Everyone has been completely satisfied. They say eyes are the window to your soul. Take care of your eyes and soul at Dr. Leonard and associates.

Been going to them for years now and they’re super friendly and welcoming every time. I require extra in depth exams for my eyes so I’m always nervous to go in but they make me feel much better once I get there.

Dr. Villalobos is super kind and always takes the time to explain the why and how for every exam/procedure. I cannot recommend them enough.

I have been going to this optometrist for 6 or 7 years now. Some of the most professional staff and doctors in the business. I’m always referring friends co-workers and family to this place. They have always worked with my budget and never had a problem with my insurance. Best of all they stand by their warranty on the frames and lenses.

Dr. Leonard and his team are one of the best offices I have ever been to. They are helpful, caring and really care about their patients. Ever since I found this office on-line because I have Keratoconus and they specialize in this eye problem, I have not been disappointed. Dr. Leonard is an amazing doctor and has the most updated and innovative technology out there. In addition, his support team is also amazing and friendly and they really make you feel like you are important. I love theses guys and they have really become my #1 Eye Team!

It has been told that Steve Jobs used to understand the need of the consumers better than the consumers themselves. That's why when people used to experience the products created by him first time they were overwhelmed. You will experience something similar in this eyecare center. Let me explain in details:

1. Doctors: Both me and my wife are patient of Dr Villalobos and recently my wife was treated by Dr Leonard. Dr Villalobos has done regular eye examination as well as took care of me when I had an eye problem previously. And everytime I was amazed to see how accurate he is finding the actual problem and providing the solution. Last time when I was thinking my power was changed and probably increased, he identified that basically I need to use lesser power while working at computers. Being a software engineer and vicious reader I spent almont 12 to 16 hours looking to either laptop, tab or mobile. So he provided me two separate pair of glasses to use, one for working at computer work and other one for looking into distance thing like driving. How simple, yet how logical! Brilliant! Now you see why I started with Apple example. And this is not the first time he has amazed us. In 2018 or 2019 I had developed small irritation in one of my eyes. His prescribed medicine has magically healed me. As my profession is completely dependent on my eyes and he is like God sent to take care of us.
My wife has habit to look into the mobile every time she got a chance. As a result sometimes she develops headache for eye strain. But in general both of our eye condition is healthy. Dr Leonard prescribed a glass with a slight boost in the lower portion of the glass to take care of this 'looking into mobile for longer period' issue. How precise, just exactly what you need! Nothing more nothing less!

2. Support Staffs: Now comes the support staffs. We have mostly got the service of Missony. Let me share some of my experiences which will give you his level of service:

a. The first time when I visited the clinic, I took 2 hours to choose my frame. Even my wife was out of patience. However Missony was willing to show even more frames after two hours!

b. I had a sports frame from Nike and I have some cylindrical power also. Being a perfectionist I was never satisfied with the glasses on it and changed the glasses several times in the US as well as abroad. However problem remained. However with Missony he looked into that get in touch Dr Villalobos for suggestions and ultimately provided me a glass which at last can provide the perfect vision. Note even Doctor contributed in the creation of the perfect glass.c. Numerous time I mailed Missony for suggestions/questions and everytime we got a prompt reply. Last month even he suggested an eye drop for me after discussing with Dr Villalobos over mail without any charge! I knew very few people who does that.

In a nutshell he is the best support staff I have ever experienced in any medical service.

3. Equipments: Again they have all state of the arts equipments as far as I understand. Even they have introduced some new equipments to take picture of back of your eyes without diluting your eyes.

4. Covid safety: Having luxury of working from home and being afraid of covid 19 situations in LA, we have not visited any public place after Feb 2020. So initially we were a little afraid when we needed to visit the clinic on Dec, 2020. However after visiting the place all our worry was gone. They are not only following all the CDC guidelines strictly, on top of that they are restricting the number of patient at time and entry is appointment only. For example at the time of me and my wife's appointment, no other patient was there.

So to summarize, experiencing treatment Dr Barry's office is like experiencing the very best orchestra where every component is performing in a perfect harmony. I had chances to experience different medical services in different parts of the USA and abroad. This is definitely the best of them.

Dr Leonard is the most experienced and most knowledgeable doctor with respect to keratoconus and rgp lens fitting. I travel from northern california for usual checkups with this office.

I have been coming to Dr. Barry Leonard for years since I was working for an employer near their office. I can rely on the doctor's thorough consultation and the staff's follow up as well as the quality of the products they offer.

I never met the doctor but the Male staff member whose name starts with an M, couldn't remember his name was really really nice, however, one setback is that my insurance paid for my first pair of glasses and I paid for the second pair in full. When I came to pick it up, I picked up the first set and when they called me to pick up the second pair, only then I realized that with the first pair, they gave me a case that's already broken cause I was trying to switch cases and then for there second pair, when I asked for a cloth to clean the lenses like the first one, i also have to ask, they didn't have any. It's kind of frustrating that little things like this have to be overseen when it is something that's a necessity that patients will automatically ask. That's just my take on this. May seem like not a big thing but to give a broken case and not having a simple cloth for lenses from a place supposedly a high end facility, I don't know. My glasses aren't cheap either.
