Dr. Behzad Soufer, Sherman Oaks CA

I love the comment about how "rude". The thing that I loved was his direct manner. He was able to balance a qualified and comforting bedside manner with a very "from the hip" style of delivery. I come from a long line of Military and I was a LAPD officer. When talking about life and death, there is no other way to present information, than to be direct and to the point. I'm happy to have a true regular medical doctor now. Worth the drive for sure. Sherman Oaks to Santa Clarita is about 29 minutes, without traffic.

Dr. Soufer is the best doctor I had so far in the US. He is so professional and he takes care of his patient very well. His office stuff are so nice and helpful. I really be happy to be a Dr. Soufer patient. He helped me to be out of Diabetic and the serious dangers could affect my life.

Dr. Soufer has been the general physician for our family for the past several years. He has t taken fabulous care of not only our father but also my sister, my brother-in-law and my nephews. Not only that - my husband and I have been seeing Dr. Soufer this past year. We ALL could not be happier.he is so caring, so attentive, so kind and so very patient - a true gentleman doctor. Highly highly recommend - I'm not sure what better testament there could be: our entire family has chosen Dr. Soufer as their primary physician and we are all so very grateful for his excellent care.

Do NOT go to this doctor. I went to see him 2 weeks ago for a physical. Many blood tests were conducted, including urine, cholesterol, blood cell count, and urine. Having one physical a year, it is understandably stressful waiting for results. I know (now) that the office received my results 3 days after i was in the office. I never received a call, and calls to the office went unreturned. Yesterday, a very rude front desk woman called me to tell me that I would have to PAY FOR ANOTHER APPOINTMENT to find out my results, and that the doctor would not be able to call me. Additionally, the doctor had "concerns". Imagine the stress. A follow up call from a doctor to discuss results is not only expected, but obligatory. It is then my decision to go back. I actually had to call the lab (Quest) and jump through 15 hoops to get results directly and then have another doctor look at them for me. Imagine that! And the front desk woman said she "didn't appreciate" me challenging her and asking why i needed him to call me. This is, in fact, and example of an assembly line doctor office. No care is given to individual patients.the fact that they made me wait 2 hours on the day of my appointment was horrible, but gets lost with everything that has happened since. And this could all have been avoided by doing the right thing, which is to call me upon receiving results. This is what every other *ethical* doctor's office would do. Again, go to another doctor.

Very bad experience. Definitely avoid this place! There are plenty of much better options in the area.

I have trouble getting prescriptions refilled though the pharmacy and I have called his office.

I have been with Dr. Soufer for over 3 years. He is a great Doctor and I feel very comfortable with him. When I was in the Hospital going thru a emergency gall bladder surgery, he was always there checking up on me. Thank you Doctor.

Dr. Soufer is hands down the best of the best! He truly cares for his patients and goes above and beyond what I can describe in words. When combined with his extraordinary ability to diagnose and treat medical issues, he is simply a God send! Be prepared for the most professional bedside manner combinded with healing humor, compassion, understanding, straight talk, and real results. Thank you for being there for my family for all these years. You are an amazing man and we are truly lucky and blessed to have you in our lives.

Warning: Once you visit Dr. B, it will be difficult for you to view the medical profession the same. Not all doctors are created equal.

I came here on time for my appointment but I waited 45 minutes until seeing Dr. Soufer. As I told him about my lower back pain and tailbone pain, he didn't even bother to check throughly instead just brushed me off with his nurse. He excused me and walk out the room and didn't bother came back. His nurse cam back and hand me a card to a pain management doctor and telling me she is giving me a shot. I was shocked how rude Dr.soufer is and his unprofessional manner. He didn't even tell me what shot he is providing me and he didn't even bother to properly tell me that he is ending my session. I will never come back to this doctor.

This review is quite simply being posted with great appreciation and respect! I first met Dr. Soufer two weeks ago, while he was covering for my father’s primary treating doctor. My 90-year-old father was admitted to the hospital and Dr. Soufer took over the supervision of his medical care. Too say that I was impressed would be understatement! Dr. Soufer showed incredible bedside manner and patience in dealing with my father and his concerns in addition, to providing a wealth of knowledge about the medical situation, his genuine care and support to my father and the entire family. We are forever grateful! Thank you Dr. Soufer!

A big thank you to Dr. Gordon Van Tass ell for saving my mothers life! She traveled from Australia to Los Angeles and complained of sore legs. I took her immediately to see him at Dr. Behzad Soufer Group and he recognized that she was suffering from Deep Vain Thrombosis. He insisted we race to the hospital where she was admitted right away. After 4 months of treatment, she was able to travel by plane again.

My family has been Dr.soufer's patient since he started his practice. We have had a great experience and are thankful for his attention to our health. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a highly qualified and caring physician.

Dr. Soufer is an incredible person whose bedside manner is amazing. He is knowledgeable, caring and real tries to understand what is the problem. His professionalism and humanism is palpable when you meet him.
