I shyed away from the dentist for several years after so bad experiences. I was recommend to go see Joe and I am so glad I did. They have a friendly and courteous staff and Joe explains everything so well and all your options. My husband and I have been coming here for years!

Joe was able to fit me into his very busy schedule this morning to take care of an emergency repair to a veneer that had chipped last night. I have an interview this afternoon, and a good smile was really important! Thanks to Dr Joe and his team, I'm all ready to go.

It’s hard to describe how perfectly this Dental Office runs. So instead of sounding like a “Fan Boy” spewing superlatives allow me to provide evidence for why this whole office deserves 5-Stars.

First the Front Office: Esther does her homework on you. She knows your scheduling preferences, insurance carrier and adjusts her service style to fit your personality. For instance, she knows to call me with a treatment schedule that best fits into my life to make sure I’m getting the most for my insurance dollar by tracking what can be funded without argument. She’s also pretty funny and always spends time talking to me before my appointment which calms me considerably.

Dental Hygienist: Miriam is so gentle. So precise in her use of instruments and absolutely understands when to apply suction. She’s watching all your movements and almost seems clairvoyant to your mouths gyrations and spittle production. I’ve had 17 hygienists in my lifetime. She is to others in her field like Jimi Hendrix is to other guitarists. No contest and she can use her instrument left handed and upside down. She is an MVP in this office.

Dental Assistant: Jen is the brightest and lightest thing to ever wear perfectly colored and ever changing scrubs. Her knowledge of the latest dental procedures is better than the larger majority of the dentists I’ve had in the past and asymptotically approaches the know-how of her current boss. The two of them work well together because they genuinely like each other while dancing a dental tango of perfectly delivered instruments and setup of trays. It’s stunning to watch, I just wish I wasn’t on my back reading the subtitles on the ceiling TV’s in every room. Jen could be a Dentist and I would make her my mine if I didn’t already have one.

The Dentist: Dr. Joe has never, in almost ten years, made a wrong recommendation or failed to hear me when I said I didn’t want a procedure. In fact, I’ve currently changed my position to accept everything he says I should do because he’s been so right. That was hard to get to since I don’t have the highest regard for the process by which medicine is delivered to America. Dr. Joe changed my mind on that.

He follows the latest tech and delivers it without fuss. He built two crowns in 30 minutes and installed them during the same session after taking photos of my teeth. He just does it and it just works.

And something else, Dr. Joe’s people are happy to work for him. He’s a good leader as well as an up-to-date and modern dentist. His fair treatment of his staff speaks loudly and explains why this office deserves 5-Stars.

I absolutely hate going to the dentist and when I had to look for a new one I was not excited! Luckily my parents showed me Dr. Joe. Nguyen office in Poway! They made me feel comfortable and when I came back to get a filling it was like walking into my home! Everyone is so welcoming, friendly and made conversation like old friends! They were constantly making sure I was comfortable and talked me through the entire filling process. It was nice to know they truly cared about my wellbeing and they also have a tv on the ceiling to help distract me! I would highly recommend this dentist if you’re in the market or even if you want a change in your teeth department!

Dr Joe did a great job taking care of an urgent dental matter on his day off. He called me back within minutes of calling the weekend emergency number. Him and his assistant had me in and out of the office in less than 20 mins.
