It took a while to get to see him but it was worth it. Dr. Carter took his time to explain everything to me. He did an excellent job. Highly professional, skilled and a great person to talk too. To put it simply, he really cares.
I took a while to get an appointment in to see him because there were a couple of reschedules but definitely worth the wait! Dr. C has a way of speaking to you and not at you which makes you feel very heard and seen. During the office visit, prior to the surgery, and after the surgery, he always asked if I had any questions or concerns about the procedures or anything at all and what is one of the most caring and non-judgmental doctors that I've ever met. No matter what other reviews may say there's always a time and a place for things to happen so even if it takes a little bit longer to get an appointment with the surgeon he is definitely worth it as well as all of the surgical & nursing "dream team" at UCSF! Dr. Carter is an amazing surgeon and person. I had gastric bypass surgery in 2013. He has an amazing bed side manner. Truly caring individual. He is a skilled and caring surgeon.
