Excellent Doctor of Podiatry — Dr. Uro did some volunteer work for a clinic when he was a young doctor still somewhat fresh out of medical school. He performed the first procedure for an ingrown toenail I had around 37 years ago and even gave me a free follow up at his private practice. Later on in life, I suggested my wife go see him for some custom orthotics and she was very happy with him as well.

I scheduled ahead ten appointments on Thursdays as that is my only day off. The week of my second appointment I received a phone call on Tuesday saying I had missed my Tuesday appointment. I explained to the woman on the phone I had an appointment on Thursday and scheduled ahead on Thursdays because that is my only day off. She continued to tell me that I scheduled on Tuesday and would not even entertain the idea that may be the appointment was scheduled incorrectly. I explained I needed to come on Thursday and she would not let go of the problem with the mistake on the Tuesday schedule. She even got someone else on the phone and he continued to berate me saying I should admit it was my mistake for not showing up to an appointment that was not on my calendar. I then explained to them that if we could not move forward on this I was not comfortable with future scheduling as this may happen again. The gentleman on the phone told me that I did not have to come back and I told him going forward I would like to just cancel all my appointments. He said, “FINE. ” This is the poorest customer service I have ever received in a medical office. I was referred here by a Doctor who is a friend of Dr. Uro and recommended him. I was not expecting this kind of treatment. I am a nurse and I know how important it is to take care of patients in a caring manner. The customer service at this office is certainly in line with the other bad reviews. Makes one wonder if Dr Uro knows how his staff is treating patients and if Dr. Uro accepts this as okay.

Given all of the stress of the past couple of years, I work really hard at being understanding with the challenges of a small business. But there is no excuse for the rude, dismissive way I was just treated by the staff here.

I have been coming for years for medical pedicures - my feet and toenails are a mess, and after a couple of horrible experiences with the traditional spa manicure, I was ready to give up. But Christine was a god-send and I had a regular relationship with her for years - my nail appointments were the most protected appointment on my calendar!

Then yesterday I get a VM from a staff member who didn't even identify herself = "We're cancelling your appointment on (next week) because we aren't doing pedicures anymore and um, we're moving anyway. So you don't have any more appointments. <click>" Seriously - that's a direct quote.

Not even an apology and a "thank you for your business". If Dr. Uro is okay with treating a long-time loyal customer that way, I can't recommend him as a business. Initially I thought about calling to see if they could refer me to someone else, but realized why bother? They obviously didn't care about me or my customer experience.

Update: Just got a really nice call from the office - updating my stars from one to three to reflect that follow-through. That notification and the overall experience still should have been a whole lot more customer-oriented, but at least based on the second message and the quick follow-up I better understand the situation.

I’ve been treated here twice for just one toe, fungus came back both times. The receptionist can be rude and inconsiderate. They will cancel if your less than 15minutes late. They mix up their appointment times and aren’t concerned about good customer service and loyalty customers. Sad

REPLY - I’m using an alias to protect my identity. Dr. Uro did my laser therapy both times and the fungus came back (not sure what you mean). The first time it was pricey, it worked for a couple months then came back. I came again it didn’t work with the first couple sessions so they decided to increase my sessions to no avail. No money back not even a thought or conversation about it so I stopped coming. The receptionists are cool for the most part but can be rude!
